Trials HD DLC in development now

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/trials-hd-dlc-in-development-now

Trials HD mastermind RedLynx is working on new content for the XBLA game right now.

"There's going to be DLC," the company told Console Arcade. "We are working on it right now as we speak."

RedLynx offered no further details, but we'll bike them down and see what we can find out.

Trials HD is available now from Xbox Live Arcade. It's brilliant. Head to our Trials HD review for the full praise-shower.

Wallace & Gromit Ep 2 XBL Delayed

http://www.incgamers.com/News/18469/wallace--gromit-ep-2-xbl-delayed

Microsoft has revealed that Wallace and Gromit episode two will not be hitting Xbox LIVE today.

We reported yesterday that the second episode of the adventure series was due to hit Microsoft's digital distribution platform today, but Microsoft has now revealed that the game is delayed until "a future TBD date."

It's not all doom and gloom, though. There's still the Deal of the Week for Gold members, which drops Puzzle Quest to 400 points, and Sonic & Knuckles will hit as planned.

Question for the viewers at home:

If I play Sonic 3 & Knuckles with S&K XBLA, will I earn the achievements for Sonic & Knuckles? You can pretty much earn everything outside of "beat the game with the other character" by doing so.

I would like to know this as well, before I pop it in.

As someone generally unfamiliar with the Sonic series aside from a few Game Gear games, is this a good one to pick up for XBLA, or should I start with another of the available Sonic games?

But they're so fuckin' great. I'd be pretty disappointed if I bought new levels and they turned out to be really easy. A lot of people would finish with that dlc mighty quickly.

Picked up Puzzle Quest. Stayed up till 1 in the morning playing it and I'm tired as hell today. I played it a ton on DS, but in HD with achievments it has me hooked all over again.

First Screenshots of NBA Unrivaled

Ok, this looks absolutely rad.
I really don't know how 8 hours have gone by and only 1 people commented. This has a NBA Jam screaming all over it.

I hope we can have some impressions (that confirm it) soon.

Comic Jumper looks like it's going to be awesome. Also, nice to hear that DLC is on the way for Trials. Hopefully they include some ridiculously hard levels that take awhile to beat.

I have no idea why Wallace was delayed. I've played through the majority of the game and have my review sitting in the queue at one of my publications.

First thing I thought as well. Lets hope it turns out like that, b/c I'd have to buy that up right away. NBA Jam with online in HD sounds amazing to me!

God, the number of hours I spent playing NBA Hangtime with buddies back in the N64 days. If this can re-create even half of that awesomeness, im' there.

Haha, the number of dead-arms my brothers gave me playing nba jam on the Genesis....actually, maybe I don't wan't a remake. Might turn me into a raving loon because of the flashbacks.:lol

Maybe. The super dunk shot looks enough like it, but NBA Jam was more than just a few crazy dunks. It was the way the game played. 5v5 won't be quite the same as 2v2, either.

That said, I've always thought NBA Jam -- HD or no -- should have been one of the first games ported to XBLA back in 2005. How we've gone this long without it happening I can't comprehend. (Of course Midway is gone now, but I don't what kept them from doing it before. Probably the same mindset that ran them into the ground in general.) If this game approaches that level it'll fill a void.

Lumines with the DLC? Thats a pretty good deal.

It's a Tecmo game. Many Xbox fans feel burnt by them and many of them don't care about Tecmo at the moment.

I think it has more to do with it not being a big franchise title of the same sort, like an NBA Jam, Showtime, Hangtime, etc. And 5v5 arcade basketball isn't the same thing as 2v2 for its focused play and matchups. We'll see, but I have a fresh sense of annoyance with constant reminder of the NFL's decision to go exclusively with EA for Madden as it would have been amazing to see Tecmo Bowl (though I personally don't care for licensed teams and players). Fuck the NFL for that bullshit.

Tecmo have some great XBLA games coming up - NBA Unrivaled, Puzzlegeddon and weird ass platformer fret-nice:

http://www.gamerbytes.com/2009/06/e3_catchup_fret_nice_ragdoll_r.php

I'd say I'm only worried about NBA unrivaled because it's being done by ACRONYM games, whose last XBLA game was Rocketmen: Axis of Evil.

I really don't find any of those interesting.

I don't really play sport games unless it's football games like PES and Fifa, I'm tired of puzzle games, that's all that seems to litter on XBLA at the moment and that platformer looks like a boring flash game. Will pass on all three.

As I said in the other thread;

Let me just say the footage I saw of this tonight looked amazing. Like Braid amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a hit out of nowhere like Braid as well.

What did it look like? I heard something about Tetris meets Gyromite/Gumshoe, with a constantly moving girl that needs the player to lay down upcoming pieces to get her safely to the end. Sort of like a puzzle drop element added to a Cheyenne/Crossbow setup of saving the characters who walk and move through the world filled with dangerous shit.

I've never heard of Lucidity before, but it really looks interesting, both the concept and style - and it's already coming out this month? I'll definitely be checking it out...

You do realise Gaf isnt the only forums around right? If you go to a lot of Xbox website you'll see a lot of them talk down Tecmo and Team Ninja now.

I don't see what that game has to do with NBA Jam other than having a pic of a guy super-jumping, but you yourself a few posts above said that you didn't find any of those three games interesting... :)

Yeah, the concept and style are intriguing although I'm weary of it's novelty. Granted, that was probably an early level so I'm eager to see just how far they go with the concept alone, I can see the game play wearing thin with me though. Is there word on a demo?

I didn't anything about the game being close to NBA Jams. I think you are confusing me with another poster. I did say none of them interested em and I listed my reasons why. If you look at my post history, you will see that I haven't been interested in many XBLA or PSN games lately. All there seems to be these days are puzzles, twin stick shooters, tower defense games and flash looking arena platformers.

The last twin stock shooter game I bought was Mutant Empire or whatever it's called. I skipped the sequel and the sequel for Geometry Wars 2. The last puzzle game I purchased was Super Puzzle Fighter. I've only been picking up retro games or remakes of old games like R.Type. The only original game I bought this year I think was Shadow Complex and The Maw.
