Shard said:I think Playdead is the one who is lying, unless they had versions planned that got scrapped along the way. Simple fact of the matter is that rating boards don't rate myths.
Phoenix Fang said:Yes they do. I remember Zombies Ate My Neighbor being rated for the Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 way back in 2007. Guess what, its 2010 and there hasnt been a PS3 or 360 versions. There were few other games that have been rated by the ESRB that never showed up either.
Koreas Game Ratings Board has Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure in their database with Microsoft as the publisher. This could only mean one thing those Dreamcast classics are coming to Xbox 360.
This news adds additional substance to early rumors and leaked screenshots of said Sega titles. Korea, even more so than Japan, misses out on Xbox Live Arcade games. So, if South Korea is getting Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure they are pretty much a lock for the rest of the world.
All thats left is for Microsoft or Sega to properly announce them. Thats probably going to happen soon if After Burner Climax is any indicator.
Shard said:Never showing up does not equate to never have been in incubation for long enough to get rated by the ESRB.

It appears that Joy Ride has been wiped as cleanly as possible from Xbox.com. Its game page is missing, and even the link to it from MS's E3 page has been removed. Joystiq contacted Microsoft for clarification and a spokesperson responded, "We're excited to bring BigPark's vision to life in 2010. However, we have nothing further to announce at this time." We followed up, specifically asking if "BigPark's vision" was still Joy Ride, if the game was currently in development and if it'd be shown at E3. The company has yet to respond to the request for clarification.
The latest on Joy Ride's status after it missed its 2009 launch was that it was going to be released sometime in 2010. Microsoft purchased Joy Ride developer BigPark last year and announced the kart racer with Avatar support at E3 2009. We'll update if Microsoft decides to let us see what's going on under the hood.
Atari to Publish Blade Kitten for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and Windows PC Download
- Blade Kitten Comic Series Comes to Life for Gamers September 2010 -
NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Atari, Inc., one of the world's most recognized videogame publishers, announced today that they have acquired the rights to publish Blade Kitten, the videogame based on the comic book series by creator Steve Stamatiadis. Blade Kitten marks the latest creation by Mr. Stamatiadis, who is also the force behind the multi-million selling TY the Tasmanian Tiger series. In Blade Kitten, a prequel to the comics set three years prior, players are invited into the world of Hollow Wish where they take on the role of Kit Ballard, one of the best bounty hunters in the business. With her pink hair and tail, Kit is part cat, part girl - and fully lethal. As one of the last of her species, Kit commands her unique "Darque Blade" hovering sword to defeat enemies. Also along for the ride is Skiffy, Kit's laid-back sidekick who lends a hand in collecting items, solving puzzles, and when needed, serves as Kit's protector.
Blade Kitten goes beyond most downloadable titles to deliver a strong narrative, with high-quality cinematics, and a colorful, frenetic visual style, that lends to the pick-up-and-play arcade action. Players will jump right in and easily begin exploring and fighting their way through 19 levels, including three exploration levels with Noot (a rideable alien mount). Hah, I still got the alpha version they released somewhere from when it was a finalist in the first Dream Build Play a few years ago. Clever little game, but I do think it fits in more with XBLIG than XBLA. Doesn't seem to have the high production values you expect from it. He got a publisher though so MS allows it I guess. Corporate backing is all they care about with approvals now it seems like; just from the outside looking in.Stumpokapow said:Adventures of Shuggy's marketplace page is up, so I guess the game is being released soon. I've been having more fun with XBLIG titles than XBLA releases lately, so I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing.segarr said:Hah, I still got the alpha version they released somewhere from when it was a finalist in the first Dream Build Play a few years ago. Also, hello XBLA-thread friends. I know most of the PSN thread folks but we haven't had much of an introduction... I'm Nathan, co-founder & president over at Capy. I like 2DHD and indie studios and long walks on the beach.

.... in September, you will be able to see the game in action on your PS3! As well, Clash of Heroes will be playable in the Ubisoft booth at this years E3, so definitely stay tuned for more news on this game.
