Fair enough. Despite the good impressions and reviews, it's still 15 bones for a downloadable game.
 
Dreamcast classics coming to PSN, XBLA

After a countless amount of leaks, Sega has announced today that they plan on bringing enhanced Dreamcast classics to both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade later this year. The first two games users will be able to download are Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure, available this fall.

As far as enhancements go, each game will be true to the Dreamcast original, but feature high definition visuals as well as trophies/achievements and online leaderboards.

Sega plans to have both games on hand at their E3 booth this year.

Yesterday there were pages for Comic Jumper, Hydrophobia and Limbo. Today they are completely gone. I think they slipped up on three potential candidates for Summer of Arcade. :)

When the fuck is Clash of Heroes gonna hit. The wait for this is killing me, and while the art had to totally be redone for the HD version I assumed we'd get it sometime this summer.

Hurry up I needs my Clash ASAP!

It's nice to see these finally confirmed, but it's FANTASTIC that they're the first of a lineup of games. There's word going around that Jet Set Radio and the two Shenmue games are on their way too.

It sucks that the first game (Sonic Adventure) doesn't hit until Autumn, but still, after years of hoping, it's great that it's finally happening.



As for the deals, I might go for Castlevania and Portal. Intersting how Banjo-Tooie is reduced, but the original game isn't, despite Tooie being a *much* longer and larger game. I suppose that shows the gap in popularity between them. I prefer Kazooie, but Tooie is still a wonderful game, and I hope that pricepoint will sway a lot of people into getting it.

Timing on the Mercs 2 Xbox LIVE Games on Demand is pretty interesting. New Mercs at E3 confirmed? A new Summer of Arcade announcement is also a shoe in.

Yeah I saw that, but that can mean well anytime which could be like August or December as both are after the Summer of Arcade titles!
 
Shit, I have 1200 points but wanted to save that for Monkey Island, does anybody know how expensive Monkey Island 2 is gonna be? If it's 800 I think I'll buy Castlenevia or Geometry Wars 2.

Oh yeah if we got a port of PSO with the new visuals on the system with free online that game could own the 360.

I thought you didn't need a Gold account?

I don't have a 360 yet but i'd like to get it on deals that pertain to live titles i'm interested in. I obviously can't get the gold member only deals but the others don't require gold (like TMNT for 240!)

If you buy a new 360 you should in theory get one months worth of live (Gold) for free anyway. Unless of course MS have stopped doing that.

EA's 'Spare Parts' to be assembled on XBLA, PSN

EA's Bright Light is working on the next Harry Potter game, but the studio evidently has got something else in the pipeline as well: Spare Parts. It's a downloadable title for XBLA and PSN about robots working together to rebuild their spaceship, according to EA's E3 lineup announcement.

In this cooperative "online action adventure," robots Mar-T and Chip collect "upgradable action parts" to enhance their abilities, according to the official description, so they can survive long enough to find the necessary parts to repair their ship before Lord Krung and his Super Huge Mega Laser destroy them. Along the way, they hope to rescue other robots.

Spare Parts kind of sounds like a robotic Metroidvania crossed with Toe Jam & Earl, based on EA's description. We'll learn more during E3!

So, anyone play Earthworm Jim HD yet? It came out yesterday but I haven't seen a single mention of it on GAF. I expected a little more interest in it, weird.
I d/led the trial but I haven't got a chance to try it yet, it looks great though.

I played the trial, it was a nice trip to the past, since I loved EJ, but some things were off, like the new voices and music.

More deep impresions in the OT I supose. :lol

Wow so many deals... Shadow Complex, Splosion Man, Trials HD, Braid, Bionic Commando Rearmed, N+, Portal...
Any Xbox 360 owner who doesn't pick up at least five of those games should be shipped off to a North Korean labor camp.
