I made it to Level 15 on my first co-op game. Those rooms where you have to shoot in 1 spot for 5 minutes are killers.

I agree, and although Gauntlet IS better with 4 people, I think I'm coming to terms with how badly-designed the game ultimately is. Some things are just completely silly and even with all spots filled, some of the corridors are very narrow, so you have one guy sucking up all the damage while nobody behind him can actually shoot or attack at all.

Meh. Also, sorry for sucking at Robotron Jes. :)

I would really like to see some more 4+ player goodness on Arcade.

I'd just like to say that I think I'm the current GAF #1 in Geometry Wars.

I'm 22nd, Jesiatha is 23rd and Sl1p is 24th.

This is all I have, so please make a big deal out of it.

Quick question:

Are XBLA games transferrable between X360s? Say I bought a game on a friend's X360...now I want to copy the game to a memory unit and bring it over to my X360. Will I be able to do that?

Yes, however you have to be logged in with your account to use it on another Xbox. This could seriously piss me off if my 360 breaks.

More like Xbox Phantom am I rite?

I can't picture MS teaming up with someone like this. I could see them buying Gametap, but that's it.

I could see games that run under emulation working, but it's not likely you'd see native PC games move over.
 
Those type of rumors can have varrying levels of actuality.

For example, it may very well just be a partnership between Gametap and Xbox Live Arcade to bring over a few of the titles to the XBLA service.
 
Speaking of the future of XBLA... what games do we know are coming out officially?

Marble Blast Ultra obviously, but there is also Hoopworld, Roboblitz, and a version of Poker coming. I'm sure I have missed some announcements so what else has been officially announced?

Edit: Also Crystal Quest.
 
I think im officially an EA whore now. I played the demo for Madden, liked it enough to go out and buy the game. Played the demo of NFS: Most Wanted, bought it yesterday. I think in hindsight they were the only 3rd party to really put an effort into upgrading the ports graphically, they did a good job. Would have never even considered buying either of the games if not for the free demos.

So, some student in Kentucky has a source that gametap is coming to Xbox 360, and the basis for this is that Bill Gates and Ted Turner, neither of which run Microsoft or Time Warner, are buddies? Oh, but his source has told him *something* about the 360 that turned out true. Well, that gives this whole thing the credibility it lacks via logic.

* The Live Arcade games are infact standard flash games (atleast Hexic is). You can run Hexic in a browser that has the flash plugin installed. So the default.xex in the hexic dir might not be more then a flashplayer. He tried replacing the hexic flash file with another swf file, but the Xbox crashed (black screen) on that. If working ... it could be interesting for some homebrew flash games :)

Very interesting, but I doubt ALL XBLA games are flash. There would probably have to be some sort of credit to macromedia somewhere in the dashboard or in the games, and I highly doubt stuff like Marble Blast Ultra are flash.
 
I know Marble Blast on the PC uses the GarageGames engine...and I have a feeling that they ported it to the 360, because it would mean licensing deals for them.

I know Outpost Kaloki is not flash as well.

They posted on the GG forum like two days ago that it is still in certification :\

I think there is a few days wait after a game is accepted too.

I haven't checked, but yes, MS will periodically reset scoreboards. They usually reserve this for times when they find evidence of cheating in games. They'll patch the game and then reset the scoreboard. Seems weird that they would reset them after only 5 weeks on the market... maybe they are having problems somewhere.
 
No fucking WAY they reset scoreboards! What the fuck's the point of getting one now, if I know a few months down the line its gonna be gone again? Fuck that, I'm not even gonna bother get them again.

This used to severely piss me off in Rainbow Six. It's more or less what killed my interest in the game.
 
Hopefully its a glitch, but maybe not. I'm most sad for the guy who got 6880000 on Geometry Wars. That's too good of a score to see go.

Microsoft should have categorie that sorts the leaderboard by Quarters and All Time. They should reset the leaderboard every quarter (3 months) to display who's active on Live! for that game and who's on top at that moment. And have an All Time Leaderboard that never gets reseted.

2) Can Silver users play online? I purchased Joust and I think I should be able to keep playing it. The problem is that my trial subscription runs out on the 6th That is one of the full game's features. www.xbox.com says Live Arcade is one of Silver's benefits, but not specifically online play.
3) Why the heck did the leaderboard forget everything about me?

We are currently experiencing an issue with some of the leader boards and stats for Xbox 360 titles. We have identified the issue, and are working on resolving it over the next few hours. Until this issue is resolved, there will be some leader boards and stats issues….thanks for your patience as we work through this. Now would be a good time to work on the campaigns of some of those single player games you have

Edit: The issue is now fixed, and stats have been restored, with the exception of Geometry Wars:Evolved. The team continues to work on that title’s leaderboards.
