I think I hate myself.

I got the 500,000 achievement for not dying and then as soon as I hit 500,000 with 7 lives left,I went all spaz and kept dying..wtf I was in the zone till I hit the achievement.

i know what you mean... last night i was up to 2 million and accumulated 9 lives then died 4 or 5 times straight within a minute. i was pissed as hell.

part of this game involves keeping your cool. lose it, and all hell breaks loose.

Yeah, the one thing that you have to do with Geo Wars is to remain focused and composed at all times. While it's easy to accumulate a lot of lives and bombs, the key is how you do after you lose a life. You can't let that get to you. Also, constantly looking at the score has a tendency to mess me up sometimes, too.

2- Are the games only arcade-oriented? Could we see a Zelda-clone someday?

3- Do you think that regular game companies (Capcom, EA, etc...) might release new and original IPs on it?

I like Zuma. I've only played the trial version though. If I don't see anything new by next week, I might just purchase it.

We'll definitely see a wide variety of games. I certainly wouldn't clasify Outpost Kaloki X as "arcade". BTW, there is a ton of value in this game if your looking for another purchase.

Not likely unless it's something like GeoWars where an employee does it in their free time. I expect the classic companies to provide classics and the indie developers will provide the fresh material.

Is there anything extra for Zuma that's not in the PC version? I already have the PC one and think it's way easier to play the game with a mouse than a controller pad. But if there's some bonus stuff like extra levels and stuff, I might think about getting it.

If you like Zuma, try this Luxor and Tumble Bugs on the PC...
I think Zuma plays better with a mouse but cool if you like it that way.

You can't die. And make sure it's 60 seconds. It feels a lot longer than it actually is when you have 20 guys coming after you.

Quick Passive Achievement Tip - your shield (that you have for the first 5 seconds) will kill enemies if you touch them but it won't count as a shot. You can get 2 of those twirly things otu of the way if they're positioned right.

I do the 60 second evade thing every time I play, it helps build dodging skillz.

For the 60 second achievement, it plays a sound when you get the achievement I believe. So don't concentrate on anything but dodging. When you hear the sound then you can go ahead and die.

I don't remember hearing a sound. Also 60 seconds is a lot shorter than I thought it would be. I died after dodging for what I thought was a short time and was surprised I had unlocked it.

As long as you have notifications on, you'll get the sound and the popup saying you achieved it.

Dammit I got addicted to Hexic. I don't think I'll be going for the Ring o' Black Pearls achievement, but I am close to getting the 3 black pearls. I was about to make my third black pearl when I must've turned something the wrong way, blew up something I didn't see, and destroyed all 6 of my stars at the same time. DAMMIT!

One of them, called Smash TV I think, is her and my favorite to play together... it is so fun co-op'ing in such a cool game. My only question, why is this game not in HD? It's the only game I've played on Arcade [so far] which isn't in HD.

Kind of sucks that it's so low res. But damn it's sure fun!

One of them, called Smash TV I think, is her and my favorite to play together... it is so fun co-op'ing in such a cool game. My only question, why is this game not in HD? Holy crap, you've never heard of Smash TV... Fantastic quarter muncher from the mid-90s. They're basically emulating the original here, no enhancement.

Hmm, I was told you just needed to reach it...since once you reach it the sun icon appears on the level select screen for that particular level. I'll have it soon enough, so I'll know for sure whether or not you just need to reach SS. Personally I've only got to SS 6, I didn't think there was a rank after that.

Just listened to Major's podcast. A couple things were clarified in my mind. When you download a game to your 360, it has "all profile" access. Meaning anyone can play that game on your 360. However, when you put the game on a MU and take it to your friends house and copy it to your friends hard drive or MU, your friend will on be able to play it as a demo.

XBL Arcade is vastly over-performing. The team is swamped and will be asking (Robbie Bauch) for more money and staffing. Current schedule is 3-5 titles per month and they want to double production.
