No new arcade games is the reason that I've hardly played my 360 in the last couple of weeks. Seriously, MBU has been the only worthwhile game this year. This is getting stupid.
 
Bought Marble Blast Ultra last night (my first XBLA purchase!), holy crap this game makes me want to rip off my nuts in frustration and I've only just finished the intermediate levels :( It's far too addictive for its own good! Is the multiplayer any good?
 
We should see some games this week. AFAIK, the team is still on track for 3-5 releases per month. It's hard telling which games are ready though.

Multiplayer is pretty good if there are lots of people. The gameplay is simple and the boards seem to get repetitious, but it's a decent addition to the superb single player game. I'm under par on every level except the very last one.
 
I've been waiting for some of the bigger releases, but as it gets closer to E3 I'm thinking MS realizes they need all the positive news they can get. And it would be sorta big (at least for us XBLA fans) if at their press conference they announced that all of those games were now available over the marketplace.

I'm still hoping SF2 comes before E3! :D
 
SF2 won't be out until the day of MS's E3 conference so they'll get atleast 1 cheap pop when they tell the crowd. See the hoopla over the Fight Night 3 demo.

Depending on what comes out this month they definitely haven't been doing 3-5 games per month. There was nothing in February and so far nothing in April. Uno should be ready soon since it has popped up on the debug XBLA.
 
In the video they said that the game will release in the coming weeks

Got a new high score of 1.63 million this weekend. The only achievements I have left are 10x multiplier and survive 1,000,000. How many points do you need until you hit the 10x multiplayer?

Have any NeoGAFers got a ridiculous score or 5 million or more? Just curious. The highest person on my friends list is that bastard DopeyFish with 2.2 million or so. I vow to defeat him someday.

Scoot says you are into COD2 as well. Up for some multiplayer when he gets it?
 
Last I checked Hypoetical (Hyp) had some insane score in GW. Its funny, I was the first GAFfer to break the million limit and my highscore is still only 1.17 mil. At one point I was 7th on the leaderboards, now I'm in the five thousands. :lol
 
I heard the XBLA TCRs are very strict. Microsoft wants you to receive a quality game not full of bugs when you put down those 400 points. Some games might have been "done" a couple months ago but rejected a few times due to bugs/unacceptable lag/etc, not necessarily Microsoft's fault. I'm quite certain they would have wanted to release some big games during E3 if they could.

Cloning Clyde will rock you if you liked The Lost Vikings.

Yeah I'm down for trying it. I'll try to knock out the single player campaign. Now that I'm not working 80-100 hours a week I can finally enjoy my 360 library.

I've had my 360 for three months now and it's amazing how much replay I have gotten out of Geometry Wars. I expected it to get stale pretty soon, but it turns out to be the real killer app for 360.

I figure... a few arcade games have had nasty and anoying bugs.
It is good that they go to great length now to make sure the games really work.

But I just want me Street Fighter 2 NOWWW!!!!11 :(

UNO is my new favorite XBLA game.

GRAW is another one to try if you can.
 
ive been resisting buying uno but i dont think i can hold out much longer. is it true that about 40,000 have already bought the game?

Its only $5 bucks and itsfun online. I love getting into games with talkative people, we just sit around playing Uno and cracking jokes :D

I bought the game a few days ago,there are tons of people playing when I hop on. Having a mic. for the game makes a big difference because the game is so fun,in that the momentum can change so much in a game,hearing comments makes the game naturally alot more enjoyable. And as weird as it may seem,most people are friendly when commenting. I think I had no more than one game where this one guy was swearing every other second but that was about it.
 
Well actually I meant impossible as in really impossible, like beating stage 100 in Smash TV (which doesn't even have a stage 100) and the gold medal times in Outpost Kaloki, which were left at impossibly low times by accident. Doh.

But yeah, generally speaking, the achievements on XBLA are pretty damned high level. Those Bejeweled ones :O It makes gamers with high XBLA scores really admirable, though. Noone really gives a shit if someone has 1000 points for Fight Night 3, but if you get 200 points for Mutant Storm Reloaded, you are hot stuff.

I think you're thinking of Robotron or Joust, those have 'make it to wave 100' which no one has gotten. Smash TV has the "beat the game without a continue" which is just not gonna happen too. Zuma has an achievement to beat a stage in 5 seconds, basically everything has to be perfect for that to happen, I think 1 person has that achievement. And the Bejeweled achievements are to the point of retardedness.
 
First off... I apologize for bumping w/out being able to say a new game is available.

Now, I just want to bitch for a minute... We've seen Feeding Frenzy, Astropop, and Uno over the last 4 months. 3 games in 4 months is absolutely terrible. What issues is MS having getting these games on-line and what happened to 3-5 games a month?

For the media, the next time you interview Greg Canessa, Peter Moore, Shane Kim, etc. please ask them what problems they are having in regards to XBLA. For our resident Microsoft readers (Arne, Jesiatha, etc.) any input you can add would be greatly appreciated.

But i did it around a month after the game came out. i hit #23 worldwide i believe at a point

i just got all my achievements as of last night and like 1 month ago or so i haven't surpassed a million

if i could solve the red dudes then i'm going to sky rocket... i can handle 3 or 4 of them at a time, but when they start throwing 10-15 of them i get overwhelmed

Just barely. Like a million and five points, but I'm in the club nonetheless. (still the top of my leaderboard, for now)

i stopped because this game makes me WAY to angry, like no other game
 
wow. supposedly 100 million was just broken in geometry wars evolved

that score would take about 10 hours worth of play... :(

nextgeneration and I are having a friendly Geo Wars competition for some months now... He is currently ahead with 5million+ points, while I'm almost at 5million (4,8 million I think). I will come back though! I can taste it!! :P

i scored over 4 mil a few months ago... haven't played since i got dropped from #30ish to a couple hundred. bah. so discouraging to see those multimillion scores out there. still #1 on my gaf list though!
