Agreed. I love his game. But he's acting like an arse.

SF2, Heavy Weapon, SF Puzzle 2 HD (plus others as well) are still US only (or at least are not in the Asian marketplace for some reason). Why are restrictions on the arcade games? Why can't they just be released in all marketplaces? I do not see any issue there's not much violence in most of them (or animated violence). I just want to buy Heavy Weapon sigh~~~ I have monies but MS does not want them :(
 
I finally gave in and bought some more Microsoft points today. Bought Geometry Wars and TMNT. Damn Geometry Wars is hard. I loved the Trial but I think maybe I should have stuck with that...It's so damn hard!

get a good custom soundtrack playlist going, learn to circle around and shoot behind you, and keep at it.

Welcome to the party. I think I now play XBLA games more than disc-based games (and I sure own a hell of a lot more). I'm sure I'm not alone judging from the company in this thread. :)
 
So, I'm kinda bummed that Fatal Fury is such an old looking game. I know its "arcade" and all that, but shit, they MADE later versions of the game. Put up the best looking and playing version! I had this shit on the Genesis, man. I want something that isn't butt-ugly and more on par with Guilty Gear or Alpha 3.

That might be out of the capabilities of the XBLA.

There is no FF game that looks as good as GG. Probably not even Mark of Wolves.

Nah. Think of the badass games they have up there. There's some pretty advanced games on the service. I'd think a 6 year old fighting game would be pretty do-able.

Well that's illegal as I have to use an address which I am not staying at.

I know it's just that I want to keep these games to my main account, so if the console dies at least I can still play the games. And I really do want Heavy Weapon, played the demo to the death.

Once a game is on you system you can play it with your main account.

But if my console dies , I can't play the games that are linked to that account on the new system unless I have that account is online. (I already have a main account).

Y'know if there is any game I want on XBLA with all the bells and whistles it offers (online play, leaderboards, better gfx), it's NBA Jam.

I remember reading in an old GamePro (:lol ) that it was the most money making arcade ever. Now, it could have been beaten by newer games, but you can't discount the success it was.

That will not work. Most of the games, like the VideoMarketplace, is IP-checked.

I am certain about M-rated games (Mortal Kombat, DOOM) but the same can apply to other restrictions as well.

You cannot even download the demo, a message pops saying that the content is not available at your region.

By the way, I am in Brazil (with no official Live yet) and using a US account.

I don't know if I believe that. I have downloaded demos from both the Euro and Japanese marketplace. Unless you're saying that arcade games work totally differently.
I can't see how they could actively IP check reliably anyway.
 
Lets wait till they release the PR. It'd be strange of them to release two high-profile puzzle games just weeks apart, and Sonic 1/Sonic 2 within two months. But stranger things have happened on the XBLA train.
 
Just wanted to drop in and say Fatal Fury Special is fucking horrible. Even the achievements are full of punctuation and grammatical errors.

Complete the game mode without losing and continues , in Arcade Game.

This is the first game I wish I could get my 400 points back for.
 
I wonder if PQ will be cleaned up at all. Both the DS and PSP versions are buggy as hell, and eventually annoyed me just enough to get me to stop playing when I was getting to the end.

I'm sure XBLA Certification will iron all of that out though.

you may have some people disagree with that statement.
In theory you would think so but considering previous history I don't know if I'd take that bet.
 
One of the DS bugs was the absolute fucking worst. Restart on the exact same puzzle every time you turn on the game. I heard some people just left their DSes in sleep mode and never played any other games to avoid the bug.

Or Samurai Showdown. If the original game is made available on XBLA, with online multiplayer, that would be all kinds of awesome. :D
