Any word on what hits this Wendsday? Puzzle Quest? Sensi?
I think Sensi has been delayed a month or so.

It was really close to release at one point, and there was even a marketing site up on Xbox.com for it. That's since been taken down (well, I can't find it).

I think it must have failed certification or something. So it's going to have to go through it all over again.

I just had a spur of the moment thought and ended up buying some Microsoft Points. My balance is sitting at 1900 MP and I came to the realisation that I have no idea what I want to spend them on. I currently own Worms and Pac-Man Championship Edition and have utterly obliterated them to completion.

Any suggestions? Im looking forward to Ikaruga but from what Ive read its still ages away. I guess I should have thought about this before completing the transaction! :lol

Get Drenched this Wednesday as “Tetris Splash” Comes to Xbox LIVE Arcade!

One of the most popular electronic games of all time – Tetris – is back and returns with enhanced graphics and beautiful aquatic playscapes in “Tetris Splash.” “Tetris Splash” will be available for download on Xbox LIVE Arcade this Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT).

Since its introduction, Tetris has gone from Russian sensation to worldwide phenomenon, attracting more than 60 million enthusiastic players. Thanks to its unique and simple randomness, it's never the same game twice. “Tetris Splash,” developed by Tetris Online Inc., features multiplayer gameplay over Xbox LIVE for up to six players and two player head to head battles, as well as a virtual fish tank that is customizable through gameplay achievements and add-on content.

You guys have GOT to stop being so optimistic. Stay on the pessimistic side and none of this will bother you as much as it seems to.

SWOS next week--it must be! We've waited for too long. YES!

Thanks but no thanks. I already own enough versions of Tetris :-|

Hopefully a stealth release of a good game saves us from 2 crappy weeks in a row.

Ugh.. 800 points? I might have thought about it for 400. But 800 is going a bit far I think. I know there's a lot of functionality in there with online etc. But I've played too many Tetris versions to be tempted back in for 800.

I just hope the d-pad is fine with this game. My purchase will depend solely on my semi-modded d-pad.

And hopefully online play is not laggy. I think it will replace Tetris DS, especially since that game is a bitch to get an online gaming going (thanks Nintendo WiFi.)

Anyone who actually manages to mess up Tetris needs to have three-inch high letters spelling "FAILURE" permanently tattooed to their foreheads. It's more or less impossible...

....but somehow I have a feeling they'll find a way.

On one hand, it's Tetris.

Yet, on the other hand, IT'S FUCKING TETRIS.

And on my third hand, it's 800 points. C'mon, a "fishtank" doth not 800 point value make.

So the week I think about topping up my ms points we get this, oh well theres next week I supose. :D

Couple more weeks like this and we can officially start talking about a drought. No big deal, XBLA carried the torch for a long time and the regular releases are finally picking up some slack.

Perhaps this is the week I finally buy Pac Man Championship Edition...

...also, where is a Puyo Pop game for XBLA? I love that game so very, very much.

Yeah, it seems a bit like shades of early 2007 (OK, maybe not quite). Knowing how much stuff is in development, though, at some point the floodgates just have to open up, though, don't they?

Wow, has anyone actually checked this out?

-800 for the game
-50 marine angelfish bundle
-50 guppy bundle
-50 triggerfish pack
-150 coral theme
-50 tetra bundle
-50 tang pack
-150 scuba theme
-150 pirate theme
-150 graveyard theme
-50 discus bundle
-50 butterflyfish bundle
-150 atlantis bundle
-50 arowana bundle
-50 angelfish bundle

That's 2000 total!

First they give us Geon, then nothing, then $25 Tetris... what is happening to XBLA?

in fairness the DLC has nothing to do with the game.

Its Game + Screensaver

+ Screensaver DLC

but still I see and feel the point alittle (as stated in the Tetris Thread)

Puzzle Quest should be out in about two weeks. That will save us.

I paid $35 CAD plus like 600 points for Tetris Evolution, and I'm still buying this. I loves my Tetris.

And I actually like Geon quite a bit. Guess I'm just easy to please with cheap downloadable games.

Cool, maybe I get to see this Bookworm Adventures game that people have been raving about.

Well, Bookworm Adventures is Popcap Games, but the real point of contention seems to be the style of play, needing a keypad input and all.

But:

The question of which games are coming is more complicated because Real Arcade serves as a portal for games developed by other companies that already have a relationship with Xbox Live Arcade. That list includes PopCap Games (e.g., Bejeweled, Atomica, Insaniquarium), MumboJumbo (Luxor 2) and PlayFirst (e.g., Cake Mania, Chocolatier).

RealArcade has a ton of games I guess, including Bookworm and Peggle: http://www.realarcade.com/allgames?src=mcode_nbrbp_,ogpg&tps=ambient_

Also, Bookworm doesn't need keypad, it's all mouse. Peggle would be a much better fit for XBLA though, multiplayer over Live would be great.

After all the old XBLA puzzle games, then Puzzle Fighter, Tetris and soon Puzzle Quest I will be full up with XBLA puzzle games.

Really what more can they add?

Yeah, it's going to be an amazing puzzle platform once they get the PopCap stuff on there. Also could use Puyo Pop, and God knows when The Incredible Machine will come out.
