Whatever happened to PopCap and XBLA anyway? They seemed to be BFF for a long time, then Heavy Weapon came out in like february and since then...nothing? I, too, want a few more of their games and thought they were a sure thing, but I guess not.

Even worse, their one known XBLA game is god damned Feeding Frenzy 2.

shit, from that list maybe I'll have to buy a few more.

Would love Peggle and Bookworm to pop up there too.
I actually e-mailed Popcap about getting Peggle on Live Arcade, but they said they didn't have any plans for any further Live Arcade titles at the moment.

Peggle will sell so much on XBLA. I know I'll re-buy it if they have Live play.

Well, this adds to my working theroy that "Greg Cannessa is a a huge wrongheaded toolbag."

God it's frustrating waiting for games to hit xbla. I know there are legitimate reasons for the long dev times. I mean, they do add a lot of functionality to the games. But it's so hard to watch the weeks go by.

The main thing that gets me is the massive possibilities of titles that could be put on the platform. There are so many awesome games I played in the arcades that I'd throw tonnes of money at with no second thoughts to play again with leaderboards and online co-op. Then there's all the other systems games with unbelievable back catalogues. The mind just boggles with the amount of awesome we could be experiencing.

This weeks entire listing of DLC.

After all the old XBLA puzzle games, then Puzzle Fighter, Tetris and soon Puzzle Quest I will be full up with XBLA puzzle games.

Really what more can they add?
I would buy Devil Dice so hard. But I'm excited for the upcoming Poker Smash as well.

My only guess is that they don't like charging half of what they do on the PC. Most of their games have sold well, but not extremely exceptional. Still, its only porting existing games.

And ANOTHER Solitaire pack :lol

A competent Tetris Attack/Puzzle League clone with non-friend code online play would be pretty much the greatest thing ever.

I'd also really like a puzzle game in the vein of Chip's Challenge or Kwirk.

Yeah I got mine too. I already have Joust though. Anyone with a code for a different game want to trade?

I'm loving the expansions for Carcassonne so far, I just wish they'd come out at a faster rate (and cost less) - the king and baron tiles (not sure why it's called a robber tile in the press blurb) make for some close fought games, although the new castle piece tiles aren't very interesting, except for a tile that lets you build a castle spanning over another castle. Not really worth 300 points, but eh - anything to make me play Carcassonne more.

Yeah I own both. Something tells me there's gonna be a shortage of other games to trade with since everyone got the same two games.

Yeah, I got the codes. But I already have Robotron. :lol

Is it just me, or is this the easiest version of Tetris ever? Honestly, the stack never went above 3 blocks high for the 5 minute trial. Or maybe I just got better, idk, but either way it was really boring.

The latest On the Spot hints that Puzzle Quest is coming next week, if things go well.

They also have a preview on Mutant Storm...the 2nd one, whatever it's called. And it looks HAWT.

Every XBLA Game Ever: the IGN Xbox 360 Review (Passable)

Mutant Storm 2 looks great, but it's not coming until 2008 right?
No, it's coming out any week now. It's pretty much finished from what I've seen. Definitely isn't six+ months off, anyway.

Sucks for me with the retail game blitz going on; I can't focus on finishing off the last achievement in Reloaded before Empire drops!

Yea, about that achievement, apparently only 5 people in the world have the Ultimate Black Belt Achievement.
