I love Pinball FX and downloaded the Nightmare Mansion table...

A ton of sounds remind me of old Midway/Bally games... like Alladin... very cool table...

The table is sitting in a dark room and there is a window next to the table... lightning strikes once in a while... nice addition!
These add-on tables have been so awesome. Pinball-FX has been my best XBLA purchase since I've gotten the damn console.

Yup, this new table is so freaking good. Sometimes I regret buying blind... not this time. :D

Well both Frogger 2 and Ikaruga have been rated by the ESRB, though Frogger 2 is still a ways off I believe.

This year will be so awesome when it comes to XBLA. Castle Crashers. SF2 and that Bionic Comando remake. So Awesome.

I would say that this year as already been awesome, has been ever since December, though always be wary of more Boogie Bunnies.

!!!

Frogger 2! Good childhood memories. Loved that third stage in the clouds.

Wow, that is a blatant Big Brain Academy ripoff. People are going to be upset when this comes out instead of Rez or Ikaruga, lol.

Speaking of which; I re-downloaded it and it still reboots our machine. Did it work when you picked time attack, or what?

No, it worked fine in Story mode. Got the whole story, even the pickups which had "<String Message>" in their message box! :lol

Maybe try the other version and unlock it or otherwise?

We just need a Super Crossword Puzzle game and the old ladies will be tearing down the doors. :lol

That would be one Coffetime Crosswords, from the team that is bringing us Frogger 2.

so hows the new Pinball FX table? just bought it blind with with half of my free points.

I did the same thing. I'll probably buy every table they put up blindly, it's freaking pinball!

Impressions...

- Thematically, this is the best table in the game. This is really the first pinball table that I can really remember playing where the sound "wowed" and immersed me. The music in the background is rather quiet but has a cool sort of tense haunted house theme... and the mixture of creaking doors, cats meowing, and other things... just really give off a fun creepy vibe.

- The table is REALLY fast. Someone like me who isn't very good at pinball, will struggle on this table. When multi-ball kicks in, it's absolutely brutal.

- There is a really cool part of the level, that you'll notice that is 'below' the table. It acts as almost like a dungeon in the haunted house... a really clever idea and there is an achievement you can get down there. When you get the ball into the dungeon area, the camera pans to right over it so you know here to look.

Zen Studios gave us a free table a few months ago, so do them a solid and buy this one. Oh by the way, I'm number 60 on the leaderboard for the new table... no big deal though :D

Well Battlezone and Warlords have been rated by the OFLC, so they'll probably come out sometime soon. They're the last of the "Lets split up the Atari Classics Evolved PSP game into seperate XBLA games" list.

Watch it sell like hotcakes...

Actually, it's gonna be really intresting how well this sells, considering the 360 fanbase supposedly consists out of hardcore fps gamers. Out of curiousity, who is deving Brain Challenge?

Uno sold like better than a stack of griddle cakes. Similar demographic, I'd say.

Gameloft, makers of Prince of Persia Classic, a fact I was harshly reminded of when I furst bagged this game for being such a shameless clone.

True enough, I had forgot about UNO. I've been reading to much GAF, which has led me to believe the 360 userbase is nothing but fps nuts.

I guess they aren't exactly the most innovative bunch :D

Check out those Major Nelson Live activity lists. Last week there was something like three FPS games in the top 10. Sure, those games are popular, but they're not the only type of games that are being played.

Btw, buy the new Pinball FX table, people! Well worth it.

I've never seen a game company more skilled and strangely devoted to stealing games wholesale before Gameloft. If you've played any of their phone games, they're pretty much straight rips. Their Metal Slug clone was much, much better than the official Metal Slug phone game. Imagine how good they could be if this talent had some actual creativity behind it.

I played some Assault Heroes a few days ago and thought it was ok. It's only fun in short bursts though, every time I finished a zone I quit. Gameplay doesn't offer enough to be interesting for more than a half hour. I wanted to do some co-op since that should give the game some spice, but there wasn't a soul online. if anyone wants to do a zone sometime, let me know

Assault Heroes is an overrated game. It's actually very dull for a shooter, although co-op rises to the level of almost average.

Wasn't Microsoft supposed to be giving away a free arcade game because of Live being down? Or am I mistaken?
From the press release:

"At the same time we would like to offer a token of our appreciation to all of you in celebration of record success for the service. And as a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox LIVE members around the world access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game that will be available to download free of charge. In the coming weeks we will be sharing the specific details of this offer with you."

Nearly everyone seems to have missed this.

Haunted Mansion table for Pinball Fx is alot of fun and worth the 200points.
Its inspired by the original Haunted House table of the early 80's but besides the dungeon part plays very differently.
I wish that each table didn't have different settings for each camera view tho.
I find view2 works on 3 of the 5 tables really well but its bad on agents and the new one. You'd think it would be more universal in its settings.
