As Im playing Guild Wars there are times where the enire screen goes red. When i exit my desktop reverts to 800 x 600 mode with 4 bit color, and the screen is a mess. I cant revert it back to my prefered settings without rebooting.

Is it my card or is it the game thats fucking things up

Have you tried any other games lately? You can't really be sure if it's your card unless it's happening with other games as well.

1. Make sure you have the latest drivers
2. If the problem persists with the latest drivers, try using another video card.
3. If the problem persists with another video card, it's something else, but if the problem goes away - your video card is probably failing.

From the sounds of it though, it sounds like your video card is indeed failing.
