JoshuaJSlone said:I'm all for extremely bizarre antics... but Space Ghost moreso than Milk Chan. Space Ghost threatens (and often destroys) Zorak, but I don't have to then watch Zorak get sad and cry about it. Poor robot.
JeffDowns said:I've never seen space ghost..Is it cartoonish? like milk chan? Or doe sit have realistic looking characters like most anime? I'm moreso a sucker for the cartoonish feel. I think that's why milk chan is so appealing as well is the use of primary colors.

I agree with you about Milk Chan's look. From my watching of the first episode, though, it didn't seem like much interesting happened other than "You dumbass!"

holy shit.
I was half asleep and this show came on. I woke up thinking it was all a dream. Then I look at the pics AND IT'S REAL!?!?!
So the grown-up guy with the big gut and tight school clothes doing pelvic thrusts is REAL!?
Fuck, Japan. I mean.... FUCK.
And the robot really does fart, does it?

Milk Chan is just awful though, the only amusing part of the show are those funny tranny jokes in the beginning of the show, those always make me laugh and the themesong rocks, but the actual show just plain sucks. Can't wait until it's off of the air.
Pretty much agreed all around. And the visual style is... different.Jim Bowie said:Now the Tom hate I don't get. It's a lot like Home Movies/Dr. Katz style delivery with Mr. Show like dialogue. Admittedly, the second episode wasn't nearly as good as the first (how DO you top the D?), but it's still hillarious.
WW LaZers? hahaha
Hey, I share your confusion on a personal level. A cutesy Japanese show where nothing makes sense would sound RIGHT up my alley if I told myself about it. Also Belgian waffles. But hey, I don't want to damn a show based on one episode; I'll check it out again.JeffDowns said:I just don't understand how 99% of a forum who finds some of the most ridiculous things funny cannot find this show funny, hahahaha.

jooey said:too many people need humor spelled out for them, partly because they just don't have the minset to decipher non-sequiturs. it happens. not that i'm really defending milk-chan though, because it does have its flat moments. the english version anyway.
StoOgE said:Awesome, I was waiting for the obligatory "Your just a stupid American who doesnt understand just how deep this show is and how awesome Japan is. I mean, sure Im an American too, but Im like a Hyper Samuri American who understands how inferior our culture and entertainment medium are".

MrAngryFace said:You know what, I have a great sense of humor. Super Milk Chan isnt fucking funny. It takes absurd humor to new and completely stupid levels. Im sure anyone who enjoys the show can sit around with their undersized hello kitty t-shirts guffawing at the dumbass piece of programming, but I cant.
Now I get it. To a beggar plain oatmeal seems a feast! :lolJeffDowns said:lol :lol
I'm anything BUT your typical anime watcher (I don't own a single piece of anime downloaded, on dvd, whatever...it usually bores me, i've tried watching one or twice to no avail) and I never watch cartoon network (except that one night by accident when milk chan aired), and have never seen hello kitty. Yet I still find Milk Chan hilarious. Hmm, maybe that's why?
I think I agree with you. I was kind of weirded out by the show at first and I really didn't know what to think about it, but now that I've seen it a couple of times, I think I like it.Jim Bowie said:Now the Tom hate I don't get. I guess I'm 1 out of a few that likes Milk Chan... everyone hates it but a few people... Not very good odds that CN will keep the show.. Thank goodness for the DVD's.
