Authorities were alerted to a high volume of graphic pre-pubescent child pornography being distributed from a home in Mustang, Oklahoma.

Investigators showed up at the juvenile’s home on July 19 to execute a search warrant, the Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

“As our investigators were walking to the front door, the suspect actually opened it, peeked out. Apparently, by the look on his face he was a bit surprised, and slammed the door shut,” Chris West, Canadian County Undersheriff, said in the post.

Investigators pushed the door open and entered the home. When investigators determined no adults were home at the time, officers “secured the juvenile suspect until his guardians were contacted and returned to the residence.”

While waiting for the teen’s guardians to come home, investigators executed the search warrant. On the teen’s computer, officials said they uncovered “over 300 videos and images of pre-pubescent child pornography depicting children as young as 4 years old being raped and sexually exploited,” the Facebook post stated.

When the teen’s guardians arrived home, authorities interviewed the teen and he allegedly confessed.

“Because of the extreme nature of the child pornography that was being downloaded and distributed the juvenile was taken into custody, and multiple electronic devices were seized,” the Facebook post stated.

Investigators have found more than 1,000 videos and images of pre-pubescent child pornography on the electronics, which have been placed into evidence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

“This case is absolutely one of the worst we’ve encountered involving a juvenile suspect and child pornography. It’s hard to comprehend how anyone, and especially a kid this young gets involved so deep into the hideous world of child pornography,” West said.

The teen was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. The case has been handed over to the Canadian County District Attorney’s Office.

I was prepared for a story about some kid posting pictures of his girlfriend online or something, but sheeeeeeeit I was not ready for that.

I wonder about two things though: what will sentencing be like if he's found guilty? Normally you'd expect some leniency for a child committing a crime, but the nature of this suggests that he will probably do it again if he doesn't get effective treatment while he's incarcerated. That is assuming that some kind of treatment exists and would be available.

Secondly, what are they doing to make sure the parents weren't also involved? This kid is young enough that there could be parental influence, but also just old enough that you can't assume there is.

I came in expecting this too. What a bizarre story to hear, but I guess it's also not surprising? At 15, I definitely knew what my kick was, and in the case of this kid, that kick is apparently pedophilia. Still strange because you don't usually hear about stories like this where the perpetrator is so young.

This thread just reminded me of a few months ago I stumbled across a child porn blog on Tumblr. Clear as day, no hidden account or something like that, just out there.

Reported it to Tumblr support staff and it was taken down almost immediately with a quick reply from them to say thank you. I actually toyed with the idea of not reporting it out of fear that it looks like I meant to arrive on that page - found it by going "down the rabbit hole" and seeing who reblogs who.

Could have been from the "Deep Web". I hear that half of the deep web is child pornography. The other half is buying and selling of drugs, weapons, hitmen, people etc.
