Well... it's as it should be ---- Concept-Design is the earliest point in the design process, it's where the mistakes are realized and the flaws in the art-direction are adressed without budget costs .... so this is a great thing, and why more concept-designers are hired now.
Killzone has always had great vehicular design, some of the best --- no sci-fi bullshit, just great industrial utilitarian vihicle design that really helps the drama.
That first vehicle sketch is pretty good -- much nicer than the artist was doing on the first game, but the design is outstanding... and where the 3d artists took it, even better.
Man, I would love to be a part of that game.
