Got my New 802.11b WiFi long range PCMCIA card from RadioLabs/Senao

I'm now connected and posting from a free broadband WiFi Hotspot district at my job in L.A.!!!!!!!

OMFG I can't believe how cool this is! At first the card didn't seem to want to connect to anything at all. I don't what happened. Then I keep messing with the various network options and configurations and got somewhat of a weak signal. So after tinkering a bit more with it and re-installing drivers and such, I finally got the signal to "Good" at 66% signal strength! And a 11Mb download speed!!!!! The signal still drops out ever few minutes or so, but quickly re-establishes a connection within 30-60 seconds.

WHEN POSTING FROM WORK ON YOUR NEW $4300 MOBILE DESKTOP AND GETTING FREE NET ACCESS AND PLAYING A SHITLOAD OF EMULATORS AND KAILLERA AGAINST HUZZA YOU GOTTA....

Dude believe me. It was money well spent. The reason it went up that high is cuz I got it with a shitload of extra coverage(dead pixel, 3 years warranty, accidental damage, the whole inchilada).

This is the first PC I've owned since 1999!!!!!! It was an investment I did NOT want to skimp on! Feels good to go from an AMD Thunderbird 1.1Ghz w/256mb ram and 60Gig HD to what I got now. Half Life 2 is supposed to run flawlessy on it :)

Oh and if you were asking if you're missing out on something regarding the WiFi Hotspot access, well yeah....anykind of free net access, especially at work and at broaband speeds is nothing but 100 tons of awesomeness :D

HL2 runs flawlessly on my $1000 rig.

I recently purchased an ultra-sleek 4 pound Dell Inspiron 700m with 1 gig of ram @ 1.8 ghz with centrino, 60 gb hd etc etc + a 5 hour battery life for only 1200 and I can get wireless Internet anywhere too. I really think you got ripped off paying that much for a laptop.

Bad investment. Computer values deteriorate too fast and the technology gets outdated too rapidly for it to be wise to add all sorts of bells and whistles, extra insurance coverage, etc. IMO.

$4300 is a crazy amount of money to spend on a laptop.

All just IMHO of course. :) And why is your wireless only a b protocol BTW? Didn't you get a Pentium M laptop which comes with g standard?? It seems silly that a $4300 laptop would require you putting in a bulky PCMCIA card to get wireless.

Aww c'mon, go easy...you can't blame someone getting excited for getting a major upgrade from their old system for the first time in years.

I just got a mac as the first computer upgrade since 1999 (P2, 233, 64 MB ram). You should see my excitement at tabbed browsing.

Edit: Just realized your $4300 laptop didn't come with built in wireless? No words.
