I work in the lower level of my office building, so I probably didn't feel it as dramatically as somebody on the higher floors.

Actually, it was 71 miles west of LA, near the city of Yucaipa, CA. Very much near that one in Palm Springs. I don't know if this was an aftershock of the one last week or something big is gonna happen there soon.

Some experts say that it's good to have small tremors from time to time, they relieve pressure that otherwise would build into a huge earthquake. There's no reason to assume THE BIG ONE is going to soon follow the tremblers of the last couple weeks.

The quakes have had a greater amount of time between them. These are being followed in days, not weeks or months. You may be right though.

I wasn't thinking of the BIG ONE, but more of a series of strong quakes.
