IN SWEDEN THE EARTH DOESN'T FUCKING STOP TOO SHAKE ITS FREAKING RAGNAROK UPON US I CANT WRITE MORE PLEASE SAY TO MY MOTHER THAT I LOVE HER

I felt it, very minor. Near downtown too. If I wasnt on the ground floor, I would have assumed someone was doing construction to our building...

edit: I actually came to GAF to see if I could find that link to that site which records earthquakes to make sure it actually was one ;)

Seems the end of days are nigh! Infact, if rumors are to be trusted, then John Aschcroft was standing on a street corner in Kansas shouting incoherent phrases as he prepared for his rapture!

Shit yeah I felt that! Lasted good 5 seconds here in near downtown LA. Much longer than the one 3 or so days ago, which only lasted a second or two.

Felt it in Alhambra, wasn't too bad -- been a while since i've felt a quake. I slept through the other ones. Prolly a 5.0 or something.

Felt like taking a Sunday afternoon sailboat ride! :D It was one of the swaying, rocking ones instead of the violent up and down shaking variety. Almost pleasant.

I work in the lower level of my office building, so I probably didn't feel it as dramatically as somebody on the higher floors.

5.5 in Palm Springs last week.

5.3 in LA today.

A 10.8 is coming!!!!

Actually, it was 71 miles west of LA, near the city of Yucaipa, CA. Very much near that one in Palm Springs. I don't know if this was an aftershock of the one last week or something big is gonna happen there soon.

Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. :(

These are just the beginning...

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

But, fear not,

Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS
THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
BOOK ONE
Chapter 1
A Long-Expected Party

When Mr. Bilbo Baggins of Bag End announced that he would shortly be celebrating his eleventy-first birthday with a party of special magnificence, there was much talk and excitement in Hobbiton.

Bilbo was very rich and very peculiar, and had been the wonder of the Shire for sixty years, ever since his remarkable disappearance and unexpected return. The riches he had brought back from his travels had now become a local legend, and it was popularly believed, whatever the old folk might say, that the Hill at Bag End was full of tunnels stuffed with treasure. And if that was not enough for fame, there was also his prolonged vigour to marvel at. Time wore on, but it seemed to have little effect on Mr. Baggins. At ninety he was much the same as at fifty. At ninety-nine they began to call him well-preserved; but unchanged would have been nearer the mark. There were some that shook their heads and thought this was too much of a good thing; it seemed unfair that anyone should possess (apparently) perpetual youth as well as (reputedly) inexhaustible wealth.

‘It will have to be paid for,’ they said. ‘It isn’t natural, and trouble will come of it!’

I think there going to get stronger and last longer.
I don't know, there have been little quakes over the last six years or so that I've been in Cali... Some experts say that it's good to have small tremors from time to time, they relieve pressure that otherwise would build into a huge earthquake. There's no reason to assume THE BIG ONE is going to soon follow the tremblers of the last couple weeks.

I felt it. Good times. Even though it was a 5.3, it doesn't seem like there was much damage.

The quakes have had a greater amount of time between them. These are being followed in days, not weeks or months. You may be right though.

I wasn't thinking of the BIG ONE, but more of a series of strong quakes.

I felt it down here in San Diego (La Jolla). Probably the largest one I've felt since the aftershocks from the '94 Northridge Quake stopped.
