i live in Redlands, really close to the epicenter (about 6 miles) and it was definitely a good initial jolt, followed by a slower rolling motion. however it was only for about 7-8 seconds.

They just had someone on the news who explained that Sunday's quake and today's quake where moving two faults into something that looks like a tuning fork shape, and because of the way the faults were moving and rubbing against each other, there is a possibility of something much much bigger coming off of the San Andreas. He said it was only a possibility.

I hope Seattle doesn't start shaking. They've been yelling, "THE BIG ONE'S COMIN'! RUN!" for the past 10 years now.

Edit: Maybe Ranier would wake up and we'd all die in massive lava rivers. LOL.

WTF? another one?

Nice knowing ya.

Even further out into the ocean, and slightly less powerful than the one that hit a couple of days ago.

We've been lucky so far, the ones "hitting" northern California haven't been on land. Like the other one, this shouldn't generate a tsunami either.

something seems to be happening about 9 miles down. I felt a 3.4 for two seconds earlier today. But that was near some miles away. Still made me miss my step and trip.

i pray for socal, i was down there in 92 when that one happened. Scared the shit out of me. I also pray for San Fran its due 4 one too.

Interesting. There was also a mini quake here in Costa Rica a couple of hours ago. Quick, strong shake followed by a weak one.

I guess it is God's way of telling us how pissed he IS AT THE FUCKING SPURS!!!!!!!

I was at a movie theater watching Batman Begins when it happened. I thought it was the sound system at first but it eventually became clear that the vibrations weren't coming from the speakers. The audience just laughed about it and someone jokingly yelled out, "THX RULES!"
