OMG! X-Men Legends II is ONLINE!

teh old??

faints.

get's up again.

Why didn't you guys tell me about this?

- Online for PS2/Xbox (However, everyone must be on the same screen at once)
- No more boxing gloves for hands
- Engine upgraded to allow for much more open area battles vs all of the corridors in the first one
- More mutants (Apocolypse, Cable, Bishop, and reportedly many others. I'm still waiting for the New Mutants, Alpha Flight, & everybody else ;) )
- 10 applications mutant powers vs 4. Expect people to have very different progressions
- Looks great

With online, this will easily be in my top 5 for this year

How was X-Men legends? I would pick it up for Xbox or PS2, but am waiting for the 20 price point to happen, which I thought would have by now. I have a backlog of games, but I am graduating in 2 weeks and am really looking forward to checking out games I didn't have time for during grad school.

I saw all the great review it got in the beginning, but I wonder how it is viewed now. I am not a die hard comic fan either, but appreciate comic book characters and movies.

I like the champions of norrath type of dungion hacks.. Is is something that anyone has played with their wife or girlfriend? My wife digs champions of norrath...

the first one got boring as hell really fast. So damn repetitive and the gameplay felt broken rather than polished. Hopefully it's not more of the same or I'll pass.

Normally I would be excited, but watch it be some shoddy quick online job,the lobbies will be fucked some how or something other little thing that's obvious but still remains, prove me wrong!!

First game was a great weekend rental. A bit long in the tooth since the dungeons got a bit stale and there were like 2 bosses in the entire 15-20 hour game. Yet, it did a fantastic job emulating the powers and characterization into an overhead beat-em-up. I had a great time playing it with a couple peeps in co-op.

It was alright, but I think it was a tad overrated*. It is a great use of the license. For an X-men fan, it's probably a must-have title. For everyone else, it's a decent multiplayer beat 'em up sprinkled with RPG elements. I'd wait until it hits the $20 price point.

*NOTE: I didn't finish the game, I only played about 6 to 8 hours.
