One month from today: BioShock Infinite

I'm so glad we took over this building near my old stomping grounds in NYC :D

Corner of 42nd/8th if anyone's in the area.

Sweet. Reminds me of Rockstar Games advertising :)

Hmm, I'm thinking of grabbing this, but won't have access to my desktop for a couple weeks. Seeing as the minimum requirements are higher than Tomb Raider I'm guessing it's going to be more intensive than that? My laptop with a gt540m could handle that on normal, I'm mulling over whether it can do BI.

My laptop with a GT540M, 4GB DDR3 and i5-2410M couldn't run Tomb Raider on normal :(

Sooo, I just noticed (speculation/slight spoilers)
That Booker's right hand is bandaged in both the cover art and the TV spot. I wonder what happened there, since that's the hand AD is branded/carved on

BioShock Infinite |OT| A Feast For Crows

BioShock Infinite |OT| Patriot Action

BioShock Infinite |OT| The War of 1912

Lame as hell, but still.

Maybe he has to hide the
AD
for some reason eventually.

I noticed watching "Lamb of Columbia" last night
towards the end you hear a young female voice with a British accent delivering the lines "Bring us the girl..." and it is said in somewhat of a nasty, cold tone. What if that is really Liz and she is not who you think she is?

Maybe
he got injured in the hand when he fell through the roof (just before met Eli)

BioShock Infinite |OT| Never forget the two most important things
BioShock Infinite |OT| Keep your eye on the ball

BioShock Infinite |[infinity symbol]| BioShock Infinite

Both of these get +infinity points for thematic coherence.

And the infinite symbol one is very stylish. Oh it's an image. Well fuck everything then.

Ugh, that was so obvious (your first statement), how did I not think of that? Haha.

As for the 2nd part, I'm fairly certain
that it's the woman in the rowboat's voice from the very beginning

At the end of the 'City in the Sky' trailer,
it's a man's voice.

Ive seen that scene and
when Liz starts throwing books at him and he tells her to stop while holding up his hand I didnt notice any injuries, unless its something they added later

Black bars. Black bars everywhere.

I love that whole part with Booker yelling:
"Hey! The deals off! You hear me?! The deals off!

Hmm, at "Can You Run It," my comp gets the full green bar for the first two BioShocks, but for Infinite it lands somewhere between "Minimum" and "Recommended." Even so, it would probably still run better on my comp than on PS3, right? After all, my computer version of BioShock 1 runs circles around my PS3 version of the game.

nevermind, the 30 second ad was posted already.
Meanwhile

BioShock Infinite |OT| There ain't no Atlas, here!
BioShock Infinite |OT| There ain't no Fontaine, here!
BioShock Infinite |OT| The Tears of future Rapture

I still really hate the UI.

Is there a way to turn off the button prompts? Total immersion killer.

Take a page from Team Ico, not everything needs to be spelled out so bluntly... :(

Take a look at the previous page, we discussed it there :)

At some point someone (from Irrational) said that medium settings would be about on par with console visuals with some improvements.

In that 40 minute GameSpot interview with Bill Gardner, he was saying that there is a bunch of options to tweak the game how you see fit in terms of what you want to see on screen. For example, you will be able to turn off the enemy health meters if youd like.

Hmm okay, that's a bit reassuring. Hopefully you can turn everything off.

It's just ridiculously busy as it is.

I wouldnt be surprised. Did you watch the interview? It's a good one. He says that there is a bunch of stuff you can change in the options menu.

I skipped around it since I didn't want to spoil too much. But it looked beautiful.

Walking around the city looks like a real treat.

The HYPE is coming! Fuck, I want this game now. I'm listening to the "Beast" Song from the trailer all the time and it really gets me pumped...

*KLICK*

The version from the trailer actually seems to be a mix of the original and a calmer version from an album on which they covered their own songs.

EDIT:
And why can't I see anyone's avatars right now..? Options are correct.

Gotta say i'm getting a bit sick of this song now. I hope they don't use it for every trailer now.

Same, can't see any avatars either.

I really liked the "Lamb of Columbia" music. That acoustic guitar with the nice little chill beat going on at the beginning I felt was perfect.

Sorry, probably not. The game is optimized for PS3/Xbox and not for you specific specs.

That never prevents a capable PC to run those games better.

BS Infinite is not optimized specifically for my GTX670 and yet I'm positive it will look better on my system than on consoles. :)
