One month from today: BioShock Infinite

You guys think the Steam bonus will reach the get a free copy of XCom?...I am still debating if I go 360 or PC with this game and XCom would definetly make me buy it on PC...

Almost certainly. The numbers have jumped up considerably in the last few days.

I think it is rigged.

Here ya go

I feel like a broken record.

We are operating on the theory that Valve controls the unlocks.

No game has ever failed to unlock.
It would be detrimental to the entire business model if one game ever failed.

Don't worry. XCOM will be unlocked.

For example. The sales for Defiance are going down, game isn't even in the top 50 sellers for Steam.
Yet its pre order tier bar is going up at an increased rate.
Its gone up 10% in the last couple of days, but the amount of sales have decreased.

I posted the 60 second tv spot early today but sadly they took it down, has anyone catched it?

The 60 sec. one has a much better flow.

As if the walking dead didn't have enough commercials already.

Not to pick on this game or anything. It's a complaint we've had about the show for a long time now.

I got a chance to see it. I liked it much more than the 30. I really wasnt feeling the sudden stop after Booker shoots the Handyman.

The Missing Link DLC from DX:HR was strong too. As was a fair part of the Fallout DLC. They're still the minority, but the odds of worthwhile DLC goes up greatly with certain games.

The new vegas DLC was really well done with the continuing story of the courier. Old World Blues in particular ranks up there with the best DLCs of the generation alongside the minerva's dens and missing links of the bunch.

about the DLC, i trust Levine and his team. I mean for the game they Threw Away 'Five Games Worth' Of Design just because it wasn't good for the game. So i doubt they would release bareboned DLC.

Yeah, the ending was a bit abrupt.

PSA:

The 60 second commercial is set to air this Sunday during The Walking Dead.

Is it bad that I would rather sit through a 60 minute commercial for the game than watch the show I know I should like it, but I simple can't.

Anyway, just waiting for the game to arrive now. I've basically put myself on a huge blackout since hearing about the development issues the game has seen, put a pre-order down out of blind hope and just wanting it not to be a mistake.

Not long to find out, and yes, there's a copy of XCOM to offload (Because I bought it on a sale on GMG before realising this would happen) too, but even if that proves hard it should end up cheaper for me than buying this on GMG once the hats are sold, probably.
The Lost in Nightmares DLC for Resident Evil 5 was better than the game itself.
It was? Oh. I've missed so many decent DLC this gen it seems just because I move on to other games before they're out and fail to go back to them. With most I'm not missing out but clearly there's some exceptions I need to check.

what's so good about minerva's den? I've been asking such on the steam thread and I can't get an answer. already beaten it and I dunno, it's classic bioshock goodie, but please direct me to what's so marvelous about it.

For me: Porters voice creeped me out, the atmosphere had a much more grim and mysterious feel, the javelin gun or whatever it was was pretty cool, I really liked the little hidden Atari-like game, and I thought the ending was more satisfying than Bio 2's (because it was pretty fucked up). Picking up and finding weapons that were already upgraded was a sweet surprise as well.

I also found it be the perfect length.

I dunno I didn't play it but it's always thrown in there as one of the very best DLCs of the generation. I give people the benefit of the doubt there.

ah, that's all alright (the atari game didn't work on my PC for some reason and fixing it involved deleting my settings and I really didn't want to do that; the spear gun is awesome, I really enjoyed it, but I thought that was on regular bio2?), I just thought that there was something else.

I mean for me the new vegas dlc was just as good if not better in some aspects to the main game. dead money specially had a couple amazing plot twists and stories that had an amazing feel of poignancy and overall the writing and atmosphere was fantastic.

minerva's den felt to me like a good bioshock experience, nothing less, nothing more.

was interested in your opinion about it since you seem to hate all things bioshock :P

edit: btw I don't mean anything bad about minerva's den, it's actually pretty good, I just expected my mind to be blown

Great story and atmosphere. Good lenght and great ending. Perfect closure for Rapture.

Rage got DLC?

Yeah. Came out around Xmas I think? Maybe a little before? It's called "The Scorchers". It added new areas and a new gang to fight along with the the fucking NAILGUN that can also fire rebars into peoples heads. Also included was an actual boss fight that was the best in the game imo.

Those Infinite pics would make great t shirts.

speaking of wallpapers are there any like pictures of Colombia that would be suitable for dual monitors? (some dumb resolution like 3290X1950) suppose ill probably need to wait till the game comes out. but hey worth a shot.

I'm really tempted to replay the first Bioshock, but maybe I've waited too close to Infinite...
