One month from today: BioShock Infinite

Wow, watching that livestream, I TOTALLY forgot there was that whole camera thing in the first game.

Is there anything similar in Infinite?

Damn, so the game looks and runs kinda crappy on consoles? Now I'm faced with a tough choice. I can either wait til next tuesday for the superior pc version, or get it for ps3 this friday at my local mom and pop. Goddammit.

Wait wait wait. As someone who is stuck with consoles, the gap between PC and console multiplats is simply too large to ignore if you have access to both.

Just last week I played Far Cry 3 on my brother's PC for the first time. Like a totally different game compared to what I played on 360. Mostly because of how beautiful the island setting in Far Cry is. I think it'll be the same with this and the city of Columbia. Might as well experience it in all its glory.

You can only play the game for the first time once. Do it the way god intended.

Wow, I just checked the progress of the pre-order rewards on Steam, and it's 83% of the way to free X-COM! That thing has really picked up speed in the last few days.

IGN basically said it doesn't look and runs as good as on PC.

No Shit, Sherlock.

This Troy Baker interview is great. Drinkin Jameson with the man and shooting the shit. I want Greg Millers job. Baker seems cool as fuck.

I'm debating with myself on keeping my reserve for the Songbird Edition for the PS3 or cancelling it and getting the PC version on Steam. Any thoughts anyone? My PC can run it between medium and high and hopefully I'll be getting (or building) a new gaming PC this holiday season.

Definitely PC.

Goddamn, watching the livestream of Bioshock and the atmosphere is still so incredible.

Textures really matter that much huh? =P Like a smudgy rock would completely kill the immersion factor for you?

Come on. The consoles will run fine. As good looking as PC? Hell no, but that news isn't shocking.

Its really up to you man. It's crazy how so many peoples' mindset flips on a dime in this place after one measly comment, from fucking IGN no less.

Graphics aside, he will probably be able to run it at a steady 60 fps instead of 30 or lower. That and 1080p is the biggest reason to why anyone with a decent PC should get the PC-version.

Do you own X-Com? Do you want X-Com? If you don't own it and want it then buy on Steam.

Absolutely and I totally agree. However, if you do not have a PC to be able to run this or have one that could perhaps be too weak for an optimal performance, the comments made today should in no way be seen as any kind of deterrent for this particular experience.

I understand your points and reasoning. I guess I'm also thinking of the future. I will eventually have a nice gaming PC within a year from now so I'm thinking of the long term experience I am going to have with this game. I guess I'm just wondering if it's worth the trade off of giving up the Songbird Edition for the PS3.

You better keep that fucking Songbird.

The goodies they give you in the Collectors Edition are too good to pass up, for me at least.

Art book, lithograph, Murder of Crows keychain, the fucking SOUNDTRACK....the list goes on.

That and the PC version of Infinite will be pretty cheap in a year.
