only on PS2 : the missing sentence in all PS2 games.

you can note that every exclusive game for PS2, in the box, they did not write the sentence " only on PS2 ".. while we can read the exclusivity sentence on the GC-XB titles.. any good explanation for this ? is this a premeditated move by publishers or Sony ?

I think Nintendo started it with the "Only on" tag (did it start with N64 or SNES games), and MS, as always, is just following suit.

I think it started on SNES.

You can see it on the GBA games too I believe

I never understand the "Only for [...]" quotes on games that have always been Multi-console

What do you mean? Multi-console games never have the only for tag, unless the game had a timed exclusive release (e.g. RE4 GC, Splinter Cell Xbox)

yes it started on snes. Super Metroid had the only on tag.

That's usually true, but there is always...

Always got a kick out of that.

IIRC "only for" has also been used in cases where there are console-exclusive features. Which is a little dishonest, but not ENTIRELY false. I guess.

Xbox Splinter Cell never had the "Only For Xbox" on it.

Some PSOne games had "Only on PlayStation." on the back of the boxes, usually the last item on the feature lists. It's hard to find back boxart for older titles, but I was able to find these:

I believe it stopped sometime in '98, for whatever reason.

that would explain why virtually every GBA title has had that on the box, then.

There is actually one game in Europe, which exclusivity is shown on the cover.

But that's it. They are proud to have the exclusive FIA license, or something.
