I was just the right age to where Jak II going edgy blew me away, I still love the sequels, but yeah, these days I wonder what it would have been like had the series stuck with the initial art direction, because it was GOATed.

To be honest I need to give Jak 2 and 3 another shot now that I know they don't play like the first game. I remember being very disappointed when Jak 2 came out since it played very differently than the first. I might warm up to the sequels now that I don't have the expectations of them being more of the first game.
