I got lucky on both viewings I guess, everyone was dead silent especially during the nuke scene. Oppie was my first IMAX 70mm experience as well, shit was jaw dropping.

There's a bunch of options right now. Depends where you are but Godzilla Minus One, The Boy And The Heron, The Iron Claw, Saltburn, Napoleon and Ferrari are out at the moment.
I'd guess the re-release is to try and push it past the $1 billion mark. Although it looks like it's a pretty limited release so I don't know if they'll be able to make it past that. Great film though so it deserves all the success it can get.
Lol Barb's at $1.4B, they're tryna get it to $1B. The re-release is right around the time Oscar nomination voting begins where it's most likely gonna sweep.
