Oprah staged an intervention for Jamie Foxx

She really upgraded from that midget cult leader.
They're like the same height. And how are they midgets exactly?

Cruise is the man. What do you do...curu fin we lmao.

And Foxx is very successful, I don't understand how someone could say he isn't.

so why the fuck is he doing SHAZAM singing contests now

He said on Howard that he owns part of the show and it's with Mark Burnett. If you can get a long running gig on a game show, it's easy money. You work once a week and the checks just come in.

I wonder how much he spends on his hair/hairline.

For those who don't understand what I'm saying:

Honestly, I ain't even mad.

1) His agent probably showed him the dollars earned versus time spent. Ratio was probably too good to pass up.

2) He has a kid near or already in college. That shit ain't cheap depending where you go.

Edit:

He owns part of it and it's with Burnett? I would have called him stupid if he passed on it.

The dude can act, sing, ect. People may downplay it but he's one of the few good actors we have left not coming from the UK at this point.

Yes he does and a few others. It is the right move and easy cash.

Foxx seems like the kinda of due that is ain't shit, but is fine with it and can manage it like a functional alcoholic

I still watch "They call me Mister Tibbs" once a year.

In the Heat of the Night is better.

When I was a kid, the Sidney Poitier/Bill Cosby comedies were my favorites. Uptown Saturday Night, Let's Do It Again, A Piece of the Action. Goddamn rapist ruining my childhood.

This move reminded me that Lip Sync Battle is a thing and apparently does really well. That is brought to you by John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant. It's also hosted & produced by LL Cool J.

This limelight thing irked me more than I thought it would. Dude trying to make some moves so he doesn't have jump on every dumb script.

On the topic of his intervention I wonder if Denzel was just behind Sidney just giving that "You better listen to this man" look. Is Stevie Wonder just playing soft background music while this going down? I know he is not an actor, but you insert yourself anywhere you can when a gathering like that is happening.

Blame it on the goose got ya feeling loose!

I don't care that song is a certified jam especially in the club! Put ya drinks up to the sky!

You are TRIPPING if you are going to try and convince anyone that Jamie Foxx has one fo the most successful careers in Hollywood. He hit gold with Ray and was never able to
recreate that proformance ever again. SmokeyMcPot is right in saying that Horrible Bosses, that fucking b list comedy that wasn't worth anyone's time, was the thing that pushed him back into the spotlight. He wasn't good in Spiderman, he wasn't good in AMWTDITW, he wasn't good in Annie. He's just there.

His filmography over the past decade, which is a bunch of kids movies, bad comedies, and bombed dramas are why I say he messed up. Ray was great. Law Abiding Citizen has its moments. I even kind of like Collateral.

But let's not start thinking that Jamie Foxx is doing well right now. He's not. And the movies he's in preproduction for do not instill confidence. The most exciting role he has is his place in Baby Driver and even then, I don't know how much screen time he's going to get.

I'd rather see Eddie Murphy in a role over Jamie Foxx at this point.

A mobile app rendered obsolete by google almost 7 years ago.

I think the one tripping is you and you don't seem to understand success in acting.
Jamie has been a lead actor in multiple movies, movies that have made a lot of money. that's success. he's not washed up and producing a show with Mark Burnett means a high profile TV show and a big spotlight.

Jamie Foxx has hit TV shows, won Oscars/Golden Globes/Grammys, has 2 platinum albums, and a number of appearances or leading roles in hit shows/songs/movies.

"Washed up" claims are wild, man.

Shoutout to the black Illuminati for making sure he didn't fuck himself up too bad. Shoutout to Black Ice to restoring that hairline too, lol.

If you guys have a chance to hear that Howard Stern interview he just did, do it. It's one of the best I've heard in a long time.

It really was. Jamie could have stuck around for 2 hours more and it would have been riveting. The stories about working on Django Unchained were awesome. Leo was afraid to say the "N-Word" on the set and Samuel L. Jackson yelled at him. "This is just another Tuesday to me!"

Scientology's head honchos been trying to split them up. Their poster boy (Tom Cruise) is now without a reproduction vessel. His contract with Nicole Kidman completed. He tried to sign deals with Jessica Alba and Scar Jo but they declined. Katy signed a deal for a kid and some movie roles once when was done she decided to leave. This is not a good image for scientology so she will pay for her transgression. She has failed the First Dynamic of Self and the Third Dynamic of Group Survival.

She's the wife Cruise deserves, but not the one he needs right now. Scientology will hunt her. Because she can take it. Because she's not our hero. She's a silent guardian, a watchful protector of Suri.

Oh.

I must be the only one here who saw Sleepless in the theater (it played here in Thailand, at least), and really enjoyed it. Foxx was really good in it, and there was one particularly badass fight scene.

You could tell Howard was like "...don't go."

Man, if one of my heroes told me that I made them grow two inches, I would break down too. That is a huge responsibility to bear.

In this thread people who don't understand the economics of TV work versus film work. Foxx probably commands a couple of million for a movie still which is definitely far from B-list. His work on the TV show which HE OWNS means that he is invested in it's success and he is getting paid to host and also profit points on distribution deals negotiated by Mark Burnett one of the biggest and most profitable TV producers of our time. Washed up, ahahaha!

Why so many Jaimie Foxx haters? He's great.

Yep, dude's been working consistently for 25 years.

I wasn't amused when he released an album, but it was pretty good. I didn't think he'd be a good Ray CHarles, but he was pretty good. Etc. He's come a long way.
