You are TRIPPING if you are going to try and convince anyone that Jamie Foxx has one fo the most successful careers in Hollywood. He hit gold with Ray and was never able to
recreate that proformance ever again. SmokeyMcPot is right in saying that Horrible Bosses, that fucking b list comedy that wasn't worth anyone's time, was the thing that pushed him back into the spotlight. He wasn't good in Spiderman, he wasn't good in AMWTDITW, he wasn't good in Annie. He's just there.
His filmography over the past decade, which is a bunch of kids movies, bad comedies, and bombed dramas are why I say he messed up. Ray was great. Law Abiding Citizen has its moments. I even kind of like Collateral.
But let's not start thinking that Jamie Foxx is doing well right now. He's not. And the movies he's in preproduction for do not instill confidence. The most exciting role he has is his place in Baby Driver and even then, I don't know how much screen time he's going to get.
I'd rather see Eddie Murphy in a role over Jamie Foxx at this point.
