That 75% is from the original first year 360s. The rates went down as time went on but those zephyr and Xenon boards were hot shit. I wouldn't even touch one reliability wise until the jasper revision as the falcons were still a mixed bag on if you got a good one.

This is just not true. One year into the generation, the numbers were ran but many outlets, Gameinformer was one of the first to do a total breakdown. It was like 55%. Again, insane and VERY bad but not 75% year one.

75% is probably a rounding up on my part but 55^ failure rate on the first year is still trash. Granted I didn't get in on selling them until 2010 where I picked up broken systems to have them sold overseas but the 75% number I use is from the repair people who fixed em before reselling them. It got to a point where they flat out refused the old models since almost all of them came back as broken only a few months after being "repaired". So now I still have a stack of 360s that I can't get rid of.

Are you saying PS5 might overheat with its boost clock? 2.23 GHz does seem excessive and probably unsustainable at all times. 1.8Ghz seems much more reasonable, will likely run cooler, quieter and more reliable over time.

I was certain that the PS5 would be more powerful than the XBox due to my faith that Sony would launch a machine that was a true generational leap. This would require 12.88TF. Yep and if they come out swinging with a load of high quality exclusive games then I'll 100% be proven wrong as it will be a return to early Xbox 360 form. At that point it becomes impossible not to recommend it to people who are looking to buy a console.
