Game is janky AF, and I really don't like the way the shooting feels, but it's a LOT of fun to play. The way the powers combo to make the group feel overly powerful is fantastic. I'm weirdly hyped for the full release.

Bunch of dev updates, first major patch coming down in a pod next week.

Rounds builds getting nerfed. Couple easy legendary farms getting nerfed. Crash fixes, etc. Oh, and a free legendary and some titanium for people who played during launch hell.

Not all of them do. The reason they do though fits with the story. The anomaly infects everything, even weapons.

Gave this a quick try last night and it's the same reason I don't enjoy Gears on console, aiming is just ass. Also if I have to have another 5 second scene fade to play and take the gameplay out of my hands repeatedly I'm going to lose it. I just got to the part of choosing my class so I'll give it another go but it's pretty meh so far for me. I can see screen tearing on intro and large outdoor cutscenes (on a series X and VRR enabled TV no less), shooting is inaccurate AF and the cutscenes combined with walk here and press that aren't grabbing me so far. Why devs still have shit like look at box, hold X to open, now look at loot that dropped away from view then press A to pickup etc is fucking beyond me. I opened the box just hand over the loot without the steps in the middle. Same goes for vaulting, already in the first 15 minutes this required hold to vault, then press another button actually climb up and over. WTF. Even the cutscenes are annoying e.g. first boss you shoot and kill then get a cutscene talking with him. It's just stupid and I feel lobotomised playing it.

Perhaps the abilities will change my mind on this game in terms of actual gameplay but the movement and gunplay doesn't have shit on games like Halo or Apex etc. I suppose it's mostly me, I hate Mass Effect for much of the same reasons.

Same. Sometimes I have to restart multiple times. Just now I finally in a game but ping was shit and I got disconnected in about 30 seconds. Shit sucks when I'm trying to chill after a long day and technical issues mar the experience repeatedly.

I have a friend on Xbox Series X that still hasn't been able to connect to the outriders server once since release I've tried to look it up but haven't seen anyone with the same problem. I've been able to play it however.

Turn off the console and detach the power cord for a minute or 2 to fix the inability to enter the game, it work most of the times.

i don't mind but some variety would definitely not hurt the game

Still really enjoying it.

That said, not a fan of expeditions. I do not like having to play against a timer. It's annoying.

They should add a new mode that is checkpointed and just requires a simple clear. Nerf the rewards, as necessary.

I have no trouble getting in since last patch and haven't been disconnected since that patch. Only 2 crashes since then and both were as I was exiting the game. Feels like progress.

Your probably right but it's just weird it's the only game I've ever seen him have issues with everything else works fine for him and its not like he has bad Internet or anything.
