Didn't get jack shit from free box but after 5 earned ones, got firecracker junkrat skin which is nice since I had nothing else.

I'm kinda surprised so many people are "Hating" CTF.
I played about 15 games of it just now and had a Blast. I mean, the majority of the games ended up in "draw" but won about 5 games. So it was like 10 draws and 5 wins. With that said, I had a pretty decent squad.
It needs some tweaking, but with the right tweaking it should be a mode they keep around in Arcade mode.
Its fun and the Character combinations can make for some interesting strategies.

The thing about CTF so far is everyone's splitting their team half defense / half offense, but if you only have half your team playing offensively it's real hard to put together a decent push. Everyone just crashes against each other at the flags and the whole thing stagnates. Most of my matches so far have ended 0-0.

It's supposed to show cracks on the side as a visual indicator that it will break soon. It's so your team knows your shield is or is not safe to stand behind.

I haven't yet played it, but I can't imagine why they didn't do a king of the hill mash up here.
Hold a point for a period of time to unlock the flag to take back to your base. Something with a bit more group focus.
1 flag spawns, and then there's a cool down until the next unlock for a new flag. Really just anything besides a very vanilla CTF.
I'm learning 3D animation right now so maybe the bug is a reference to how they skinned it?
Especially if the original model has its proportions in tact.
Was thinking that it was a skinning issue as well. I had a model in uni do this, only it was much more extreme lol.

It's effectively single CTF with the game seems to play out and still very much focused on team play. Roll up as a group, get the team kill, pick up the flag and just saunter back to base unimpeded. Even with Mei's wall, sneaky caps don't really work out since it's trivial for one person to delay the capture, so there really isn't that situation where both teams have the flag.
At least this way there is a bit of a variation in where the fights happen (even if the map isn't really designed around it) and the mad dash to get to the enemy base after their attack fails.

2 new heroes, 2 new maps, multiple seasonal game modes and a total revamp to the arcade mode and countless balance patches and quality of life patches along with being easily the most open and communicative developers in the industry. not to mention all these items can be had FOR FREE.

The one thing that bugs me is that you cant get the skins after the event is over. So that mixed with a higher than normal in game currency price, is kinda greedy

Two boxes in, and my only Year of the Rooster Event loot are two player icons, with some old dupes to pad things out. Off to a great start. I haven't bought a single loot box, and it is amazing how many dupes I get. I can't imagine what it's like for people who buy extra boxes, because these odds don't seem great.

Mei's back does look way too deformed to be intentional, it could very well be a skinning issue.
