An overweight ISIS 'mufti' was arrested in Iraq and had to be loaded onto the back of a truck because he was so heavy, according to the Daily Mail.

Shifa al-Nima was hauled from a property in Mosul after he was discovered by Iraqi security forces.

The elite ISIS leader, who Iraqi police say is considered one of ISIS' foremost leaders and has been dubbed by others around the globe as 'Jabba the Hut', is believed to have been behind the butchering, executions, enslavement, rape, kidnapping and sale of many people - having also ordered the destruction of heritage sites in Mosul.

Iraqi police said of Shifa Al-Nima (who is also known as Abu Abdul-Bari): "He is considered one of the foremost leaders of ISIS and was responsible for issuing fatwas that led to the murder of scholars and clerics."

A statement said that the SWAT Regiment of the Nineveh Police Command was able to arrest 'an ISIS mufti' called Shifa Al-Nima, who was 'a preacher in a number of mosques in the city of Mosul and is known for his incitement speeches against the security forces'.

Photos of the warlord, including one of him being hauled into the back of a pick-up truck, have been shared on social media.

Macer Gifford, a Briton who fought again ISIS in Syria and is now a 'human rights activist and anti-ISIS campaigner' tweeted the photos, writing: "I'm delighted to say that the Islamic State's very own Jabba the Hutt has been captured in Mosul.

"Responsible for the execution of men, women and children. This animal raped and murdered."

Maajid Nawaz, a British activist and counter-extremist think-tank founder also did the same, welcoming the arrest.



Calling on others 'not to mock obesity, but to mock the hypocrisy & debasement of a man who sanctioned enslavement, rape & murder', he added: "If ISIS were uniquely animalistic, then it's befitting they were presided over by a uniquely beastial figure such as this. Almost poetic."
