I'm thinking of picking up PoS's albums but I see that they have six released. I'm wondering which ones are the really good ones? I'll pick up one or two to start off with so I need recommendations.....

Sorry to bring this up from the depths of last month but I just saw this.

Wow I can't beleive I missed this thread.

Their most accessible, and probably the best place to start is "The Perfect Element Pt.1" (there is no part 2...yet).

But I, and I beleive ced agrees with me here, think that their best is Remedy Lane. The album is somewhat interesting as some people like it immediately ( I did, though over time I appreciate it MUCH more) and some borderline hate it at first. In fact, I read a series of reviews at amazon...I beleive by the wickerman or something like that...who basically went from hating the album in his first review, saying that the band hit their peak early with their first two albums and were nowhere near as good now, to...through a series of moderately more favorable reviews, eventually declaring Remedy Lane the finest musical recording he'd ever heard.

Your first listen to ANY PoS album should be with lyrics in hand however. They are very integral to the experience.

I'll stop before I write any more useless hyperbole....but god damnit this is, to me, the best fucking band on the planet.

What a coincidence, my friend just sent me all their albums. I've haven't listened to them yet, but he also says that Remedy Lane is their best.

I picked up Perfect Element Part I and Be a couple of weeks ago. I'm liking it so far. Pretty good progressive stuff. Lyrical themes are a little too dark for my own preference but only just a little.

I have Remedy Lane downloaded but have yet to get down to listening to it.
