Note the steep decline in Wii U ASP. from £36 to £25.
It's still outselling the Wii U :/
And it has great software attachment.
Edit: Digitally

i wander why MS cut the price? was the software gap increasing over the week from less than 5% in the first week to >25% in the fourth week or something similar or they just thought that the market price of UK gives them some leeway to reduce it?
THIEF STEALS CROWN
Developed by Eidos Montreal it smashes the week 1 of predecessor ‘Thief: Deadly Shadows’ last seen on Xbox & PC in 2004. It also achieves the second highest sales for a No1 title in 2014 behind FIFA 14 with 75% of those sales coming for Xbox One & PS4. ‘The Lego Movie Videogame’ (-33%) drops to No2 after two weeks at the top but stays ahead of ‘FIFA 14’ (-15%) which drops to No3.
Another debutant lands at No4 this week as ‘Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare’ arrives for both Xbox One & 360. It pushes ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’(-36%) down to No5 while the third of EA’s Top 10 titles ‘Battlefield 4’ (-17%) also slides two places to No6. Konami’s ‘Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2’ is another newcomer this week creeping in at No10 and becoming the second biggest week 1 in the franchise behind the original Lords of Shadow which released in 2010. Elsewhere in the Top 40 Bandai Namco’s ‘Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles’ is new for PS3 at No13 while 3DS title ‘Senran Kagura Burst’ sneaks in for a debut at No38.
big drop for most ps4 software
Those are 2 new releases in the top, outside Forza Xbox One software barely raised.Xbone SW sales up, pricecut worked. PS4 availability is hurting.

Can't help but feel they hurt themselves big time not having a kinectless SKU. I realise it's something they're trying to push but having an sku out there for $100 less would be doing wonders right now imo.
...Yeah, indeed. And seemingly not big increases for Xbox One titles, despite the £30 price cut being already operative from last week (Rayman probably was the title which benefited more :lol ). Hopefully, we get also splits for Thief.
I expect Microsoft to be releasing a glowing press release this week. The reduced price Xbox is going to be curb stomping the out of stock PS4 and that will reflect in the software charts.
Whats dangerous for sony here is that Xbox one games are generally cheaper than PS4 games, so over time the console could be seen as better value. Once that happens, expect sony to start bleeding marketshare again.
its a bit misleading though, there are a big number of new skus this week so for the previously available xbox one titles to jump up the charts against that is significant i think.
Not really those sales are likely very low.its a bit misleading though, there are a big number of new skus this week so for the previously available xbox one titles to jump up the charts against that is significant i think.

I think the relative placement of next gen Fifa's is a good indicator of how the new consoles sold over the last week. It's the "go to game" until we're closer to Fifa 15. It's probably a bigger draw for newcomers than the launch exclusives. And there Xbone hasn't improved much, so you're probably right.
Amazon.uk says PS4 is back in stock on March 25th.
...Really? In three weeks? Given the rumours of low shipments in Japan for second week, US situation being more scarce than January....what the hell are you doing with these shipments, Sony? Unless you're now shipping to other European countries, which suffered much more than UK in the last months, and it would be even comprehensible, but still, hearing so much about PS4 low shipments everywhere is strange. Are they having problems?
Its a last ditch measure that can now be saved for if the console still tanks further.
The PS4 sold over 5.6 million so I think thier approached was indeed better.Yeah, Sony should've taken the MS route and launch in a few selected countries first.
Now they're having supply issues everywhere.
There hasn't be any Ps4's available in my country for over 3 months now. Don't even know why they even bothered launching here with these supplies...

I am saying they plan the launch well.So you think the only reason it sold that much was because they launched in more territories? Just because the PS4 sold more doesn't mean every single decision they made was perfect or superior to MS. Not saying that i disagree with you though.
