Palworld developers challenge Nintendo's patents using examples from Zelda, ARK: Survival, Tomb Raider, Titanfall 2 and many more huge titles

Man I would love for Nintendo to waste a bunch of money and lose this. Patent trolling and legal bullying has been going on for too long from Nintendo. They need to get handed a big loss for overstepping.

With the money they spend in patents and troll lawsuits they could sell their games at 50 usd without an impact.

For people who wonder why companies like Nintendo go after modders and indie studios with patent infringement suits. This is why.

You can't let precedent be established or some blatant knock off like Palwaorld can come along and try to cite prior examples of Nintendo allowing similar stuff.

Win or lose, expect this to result in more oppressive litigation from Nintendo, and other companies, in the future.

What are you on about? The point is that Donkey Kong was a knockoff too and that people who climb ladders shouldn't kick it away from the people who come later. Palworld was not a knockoff, it was a superior product. Nintendo not wanting to get better faster is on them. So now Nintendo is trying to stop game genres from existing. Imagine if John Carmack had patented Doom and killed Call of Duty from existing.

I truly wish they win. However, this is a very tough battle, especially considering it's Nintendo and their aggressive legal team.

they could have created their own monsters and have the game sell 3 copies.

it was clear from day 1 they were using Pokemon to get people to look at them.

I hope they get smashed to the ground.

You are just another person ignorant of how the real world works. Like those who think Harry Potter invented wizarding schools.

Nah man, Digimon was created before Pokémon and guess which IP is more valuable? You would have to be stupid not to see they're plagiarizing Pokémon designs, they worked on the original models from the games, lol.

The only ones about to find out how the real world works are the Palworld Devs 😂

I gotta hand it to them though, they have balls of steel, specially after seeing how Nintendo is merciless in a courtroom.
