I'd like to record events that happens in specific PC games. (especially online games)
For Counter-Strike: Source for example I could use a command in console to start a "demo" , though I'd like to have a main program that can record in any game I want.

Which program's are recommended? I tried www.FRAPS.com but it has this ugly "www.fraps.com" tag above on your screen.

(P.S: which program should I use for compressing those movie files? VirtualDub?)

If FRAPS records in avi, then yeah I assume VirtualDub is a good choice (I like VirtualDubMod).

For MPEG I guess you could use TMPGEnc?

Fraps doesn't have the logo if you pay for it.

you mean buying it? If I buy it.. can I record movies of more than 30 seconds? because the free version I have can only be recorded in 30 seconds...
