I've recently been looking at whether i can find a PC sound card with Dolby Digital output for surround sound. More specifically, I want the ability to take the surround sound from a game (EAX?) and pipe it to a receiver. I know that some nVidia chipset motherboards were capable of this, but I am not aware of any sound cards that are. Does anyone have any suggestions, or am I out of luck?

Does your receiver only have dolby digital surround or does it have discrete channel inputs?
