PCSX for Mac is released

What do you mean, a plug-in for what? OpenGL is hardware accelerated.

That PSX emu needs the OGL plug-in to communicate properly with the OGL videocard. ePSXe for PC I use needs the same thing.

PCSX Mac's plugin runs through OpenGL for the aspect ratio scaling, but the actual graphical rendering is still software based.

That's why there's such extreme aliasing and blur.

What the shit? That blows. Might as well whip out the PSOne out of the closet.

How is the PC version? It would be great to pop some of the old PSX games into the PC now and again... (of course, I guess I could do the same with my PS2.. or original PSX).

EDIT: Somehow doubt this'll work on my G3 iBook :)

Would it run Chrono Cross?

I used to emulate it on my PC, but then that kinda broke down. It'd be great replaying it and actually having the hardware to run it at better than 15fps :p

For the PC, go with ePSXe. IMO, the best PSX emu. Hardware accelleration work great too.

Chrono Cross runs well on it. However, the graphics suck with the current plugin.

The author is probably working on a full OpenGL plugin, so keep your fingers crossed.

I'm assuming you've used Flarestorm 2?

How does this stack up to it? Whatever, I'll find out for myself...

Ok, I just tried Chrono Cross in pcsx (the only game I have that's given me slowdown trouble in Flarestorm), and it's defintely a little quicker. Not fullspeed, but my laptop's definitely not top of the line either. Thanks for the link.

Yeah, but I think you have to mess with one of the settings. The only thing that doesn't seem to be 100% is the sound and sometimes the keyboard layout doesn't work. Vagrant Story on this screen is so beautiful.

Which ones did you mess with? They're kinda indecipherable to me :/
