Looks to be very much inspired by Pee-wee's Big Adventure (which is 31 fuckin years old), which is a good thing. We shan't mention Big Top Pee-wee.

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and Pee Wee's Playhouse were both great.

The movie was surreal. The combination of Paul Reubens character and script with Tim Burton's directing style and flair for visuals with Danny Elfman's score made it weird as fuck.

Pee Wee's Playhouse was a children's show on crack. It was every bit as odd as the movie, but retooled for '80s children.

I love Pee-wee's Big Adventure, but this doesn't look that great to me. It's been so long that recapturing the magic of the original is impossible, especially without Elfman and Burton being involved. I'll still watch it though.

It feels weird to me. He's in the same house so I gather this is a sequel, but the trailer acts as if he's never been out of his little town, which completely contradicts the events of Big Adventure. On top of that, several of the shots look like beat for beat remakes which makes it even more confusing.
