I think their best work was when they got all fired up at Daily Radar over its score for the Dreamcast game Draconus and then spent three whole comics to get to the punchline which was -- haha! -- all the Daily Radar employees had their heads up their butts.

Penny Arcade is very uneven. Most of their comics are total shit but they do enough really funny ones to justify people to read it on a consistent basis. Maybe 5-10% of their stuff is good but since they've done so many then it comes out to a decent number.

That's pretty generous. So far, for me, it's 100% crap, 0% chuckle. I've never seen a PA comic (or shirt or journal entry) that made me laugh. Not one little bit.

At least they do good charity work.

You know that reminds me...a bit back when I was working at a local Gamestop the manager hired a younger girl... 17-18 IIRC. Anyway she was a gamer, fairly intelligent... and hot to deaf... seriously filled out in all the right places.... every friggin guy that came in the store while she was working hit on her, or acted liked a complete bumbling retard... the asst. manager and I often went in to the back room just so we could sit back watch these people act a fool on the monitor and laugh our asses off.

Pretty sad.

We had a couple of girls like this at the library I work at...it was pretty weird watching 14 year olds and old drunks try to hit on these 19 year old broads, who had a baby and a boyfriend respectively. I didn't like either of them because they were both ditzes, so they didn't effect me much, though

People here are too cool for their own good. Penny Arcade is funny and you know it. Obviously they're going to have their stupid fits, as shown by this comic, but they are mostly worthwhile.

By the way, the accompanying article is up. Turns out this was a true story. Although it's still a waste of a comic, in my opinion, I'm glad they didn't actually think the idea up.

My local EB has a couple of girls working there... one of them is friends with my brother, she's pretty cool, but there's another girl who's kind of weird - when I was trying to take back a game (long story - it involved buying a used copy of Parasite Eve at the EB near work, replacing its disk 1 with my damaged disk 1, and me taking back to the local EB), she then proceeded to ask if there was any game I want to preorder. So I told her, no. And she asked what kind of games I liked, so I said Role Playing. And then she proceeded to name a ton of games that had nothing to do with RPGs at all... like the 50 cent game! She went on for like 10 minutes...
