The first number is how many people voted in favor of the gay marriage ban. The other 2 are how many voted for Bush and Kerry.

yeah, the theory that gay-marriage ban made a difference has already been debunked by even liberal political sites...

I thought it was a genius move on the part of the Republicans at first, then I saw the numbers... it seems that Bush's statements on civil unions may have shaved off a tiny part of his support at the last minute, but not enough to make a difference...

It's a damn shame that the whole "young voter" theory from before the elections apparently fizzled. According to most polls, we're the ones who are most for such civil liberties, and yet we failed to turn out in any substantially higher numbers, and have thus had the will of those with less of a time stake in the world forced on us.

Young voters did turn out in higher numbers. MUCH higher, it's just that everyone else did too, so they made up the same percentage.
