This is my first Persona plat ever, never felt the same need to plat with P4G, guess my habit of achieving platinums for the games I have bought CE versions of, motivates me to redeem them.

I feel the same. Never tried the NG+ on P3 and 4 before outside of just checking some things out, but I might seriously do a full playthrough of P5 again once I've had time to let it settle.

Yes, you can do it the first day and still get the rest of the remaining time. Morgana is just warning you because the deadline for this Palace is basically your last chance to do Confidants.

If you haven't already made it to the "end" of Mementos before you have to do the Mementos Depths, you will be forced to do the rest of it before you can get there.
She is rank 10 now. I know they are and I selected the correct ones, I even double checked online so I'm not sure what went wrong....
Taking a break makes sense, I did that last night and jumped into some Nier: Automata and it was really refreshing. I just don't want to take a break and never come back, lol.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. I did feel that it dragged a bit, especially in some dungeons but overall I had a great time with it. Surprisingly I enjoyed the latter part of the game the most, some of the music was amazing! 107 hours to beat it.

Yep. I threw a fit when I first went into Mementos after unlocking that ability, but it's honestly not so bad because it only triggers on weak enemies.

Question about Fortune's social stat and confidant boosts. Are those boosts a fixed points addition or are they a multiplier to the stat I intend to work on?

It is a bit annoying that you can't turn it off but as long as you don't ambush the enemy you'll go in to battle instead of insta-killing. It never felt random to me. It always triggers when my level is on the high end compared to the demons you're supposed to fight.

Ugh, pretty sure I've missed maxing the Sun confidant by just one day. Dude needs to be available more often if he is going to have an early deadline like that.

The social stat boost is a multiplier. The confidant boost add a fixed amount of points.
It is somewhat random in that it starts triggering once you're a few levels higher and moves to guaranteed.
Its a pretty questionable ability generally though, considering it costs you XP/yen/items, close to disables Hifumi's One Turn Win Gold Boost and doesn't ask you to discard a mask if your stock is full. And that it's generally dangerous to not ambush because enemies seem to have artificially high agility in this. It would be majorly improved if it resolved as a proper win (XP/gold/items + random mask and did the usual ask to discard) or had an off switch.
I dunno if the exploit is considered a spoiler or no so I'll tag it.
During the flu season (11/13, 11/14,
12/8, 12/9) on those specific dates the reaper has a chance of being inflicted with despair status which makes him die automatically after 3 turns, he does nothing for those 3 turns as well. For this its better to max out Hifumi and Mishima social links as Hifumi link benefit allows you to escape a battle immediately incase the reaper isn't inflicted with the status and Mishima link benefit allows to earn tremendous XP...
I reached level 99 with MC by exploiting the reaper around 4-5 times earning around 210k XP
For normal, I guess any level above 70 should suffice as your attacks only do double digit damage...

This is so disappointing. I was excited to see Mobus in the cast, and what we did get gave Joker some decent amount of personality, but having all these would have been great, ugh.
Finished the game last night (1st playthrough), took me 131 hours.
Loved it and never got bored of it, playing it every evening. I think the party are easily one of my favourites, just wish we could have had an extra dungeon
before the casino palace to give Haru more time to bond with the team.
Went in mostly blind but had max social stats and just over half the confidants maxed in this order:
ann(romanced), makato, hifumi, takemi, sojiro, ryuji, caroline & justine, haru, mishima and all the story related ranks.

I normally don't replay rpg's, especially not with ps3 / ps4 era rpgs but I'll definately be starting a second playthough. I missed quite a few mechanics on my first playthrough that I'll explore more on my 2nd run (barely used skill cards, never touched gun modding
due to having low condfidant rank on Iwai
, never tried batting or fishing and some small stuff like that).
Definately owe GAF for getting me hyped over persona. Since I haven't played the past games, seeing so many of you hyped over the initial trailers and announcements kept it on my radar (only recently joined as a member here, but have been reading neogaf for a long time).
Finally finished the game last night after 90 hours. Didn't quite make it through all the confidants at the end I had the Wardens, Iwai, Haru and Yoshida left at various states of completion.
Really enjoyed the ride and will miss those characters.
My only complaint is that I didn't need the Mementos Depths section at the end. It was a long slog of combat tossed in at the end when I was really just ready for a final climactic fight and to ride out the story by that point. The final boss fight was very satisfying on its own and would have been better imo if it was just the 4 angels + final boss at the end.
Anyone know if it's possible to max-rank the wardens in a single mementos run at the end of the game, maybe during the Depths of Mementos sequence, by collecting personas, going back to the Velvet Room and fusing them repeatedly? Is there a guide somewhere that I could use to figure out the path for that if possible?
I'm pretty close to finishing the game, probably less than 10 hours left, so I want to try maxing out as many ranks as possible.
