They will advertise it for Xbox due to marketing deals instead of advertising it to people who will actually buy it. Lots of Atlus fans won't buy the game due to the Xbox tag.

Imagine being interested in Persona 6, seeing an Xbox logo for three seconds and deciding not to buy the game

Marketing doesn't change the product. If anything, Xbox paying for promotion just gives Atlus more visibility and money

I wouldn't say I want it to be about "adults". To me, 18 to 20 year-olds are still teenagers, but at least they are adults by law and there's none of that borderline impossible dynamic where you gotta live with a grown up, be taken care of by them, and have to respect being back home at x or y hour. It also makes more possible relationships legal.

If Joker was an 18-year-old living on his own, it wouldn't be anywhere near as off putting as him living in the Leblanc attic having adult women over.

Playing as a minor is fine in my books so long as they keep the relationships strictly between minors (or at least not involve much older people) and don't try to make you behave like an adult while keeping you a teenager. If you're gonna do this, just give them the legal age of majority and stop being coy with it.

Besides age, Persona 5's MC is too much of a self-insert blank character for me to believe that he's some kind of chad sleeping around with hot mammas. I wish the series had a proper MC with a consistent personality even though it reduces your romance options.

Yesterday I finally started Persona 3 Portable on Switch 2, gonna see if I can finish 3, 3R, 4, 5* before 6 launches.

I liked it up til then, but yeah that ending wasn't done so well semiconscious . The World Ends With You actually did a pretty similar concept, but waaay better.

Not that they're a major part of these games anyway imo, but the romances are pretty silly and bad, too lol, but they were also like that in 4 too, so whatever. Idunno about the other P3 romances, but Liam O'Brien actually did a really good job with the romance lines he was given in P3P so I guess Persona 3 wins for best story in every area of these three games.

I still think that P5's a good game overall, though. It's really relaxing and nice to play and the art and music are great.

i also really enjoyed world ends with you, but it's a game with it's own identity, &, other than featuring young people, not really all that similar to persona. p5 had some very good aspects, particularly the dungeons, but, especially following the laid-back charm of p4, it just came off as being jarringly 'cool'/flashy/edgy, & felt hollow by comparison. exhibit a:

think of the previous games' casts. i mean,'high schoolers'? i don't think so...

all i really remember about the game (it was 10 years ago) was that it went on too long & i was relieved to be done with it (which's basically exactly as i felt when i finished metaphor refantasio). i made an attempt to try persona 5 royale a few months back, & just couldn't do it. i find the whole glam thing just too self-indulgent & off-putting, despite any positives (dungeons, combat mechanics, music). glad you managed to get past the crap & enjoyed what's good...

Gonna hold off on totally shitting on the design (it is bad) until I see the game in action.

Anyhow, last chance for Atlus to prove they still got it after the trash the was Metaphor, Soul Hackers 2 and (to a lesser extent) SMT V.

Persona is basically their flagship IP so im expecting them to bringbtheir A game.
