Persona TGS 2015 Stream Discussion Thread

Soejima's thanked us for watching and has signed off. Great picture, though I liked it a bit better at the raw black-and-white stage than in its final form.

The phantom thief's talking and promises us another great "present" he'll make at the live event. "Let's meet on stage."

I wonder what the next event on the stream is?

This stream is much more entertaining than Atlus's last efforts, that's for sure.

I don't know where to watch the stream. I don't have a NicoNico account.

All of the streaming options are in the OP.

That illustration is bad ass.

What's this rumor that's being brought up on the Beastcast about hints to an HD remake of P3/4? Vinny yanking my chain or something with a bit more weight?

A pathetic 4chan mock-up and people thinking that blurring at the end of the Persona 5 PV#03 trailer is a tease.

I hope we get to hear the opening theme singed this time, or any other vocal song from P5, i'm really curious to hear how they turn out.

Oh boy under 10 minutes (I think?). Preparing for another rollercoaster.

Edit: WAIT. I confused BRT for BST. Damn it.

I'm just struggling to figure out what they could possibly reveal on the stage that warrants a countdown.

It's most likely nothing, but the whole thing is weird. Why reveal the trailer first?

The HD rumor was made up ;_;

Anything good to expect from this upcoming stream ? Any guesses?

No idea. It's a 1 hour segment which will include a mini-concert and a live show. Persona 5 will be featured in some capacity during that segment, and they've been throwing out several teases that there will be a "gift" at the final event and that the Phantom Thieves will appear during it.

It could be music related, given the concert. A full performance of the opening theme or something. Doesn't seem quite right to tease that in the way they have, but I could see it.

About the only thing I can think of that might fit what we know about the "special surprise" is a demo. And I don't think that Atlus would do that.

So really, no idea at all.

My bet is that the gift will be the unveiling of the new lead singer for the series and they'll play the intro theme with Vocals.

That's the only thing that makes sense.

Phantom thief will come and return 2015.

I'm just hurting myself now.

I think an important thing is to not gloss over the significance of this 4-hour countdown that precedes the "Persona Special Stage." It's just a feeling, but I don't think it's simply a throwaway thing leading into the last segment. Maybe nothing of note will be shown during it, but there has to be an implication to it...

The old lady hasn't shown up yet. We haven't truly entered the Atlus Ruse Cruise yet.

Something's missing...

I know it won't happen, but honestly that would have been the most trollish and yet genius marketing plan ever.

First you get people to talk about the game with a long delay. They will feel disappointed and in this especial case, betrayed. Then a few days later, BAM! You announce the real release date that is much sooner and fans will go crazy and fell in love with you all over again. Not only that, but your game will get a shit ton of exposure without you actually doing anything.

But unfortunately that's not gonna happen, so, let's stop hurting ourselves :(
