PGR3 freezes in the Menu

Incidentally I played PGR3 for the first time in months yesterday and when I first loaded it up it didn't sign me in correctly and didn't load my profile, so I had to restart the console.
Worked fine after that though.

It deletes all the fast-loading stuff.
But you should make sure nothing is happening on your Xbox Guide while you're playing PGR, it could kill your Xbox (yup it does)

I had the same problem arise a month or two back so it's not the dashboard update.
I didn't do anything about though and I haven't played it since...

Maybe it has something to do that I don't have a Live Gold Connection at the moment because I don't have Internet? I played Online Career...maybe it tries to connect to PGR3 online and freezes because there is no internet connection.Basically I think there are no timeout timers for PGR3 in XBL.
Which would mean that when the game tries to contact XBL to post some ranking information, but your connection is all screwy, the game stops for a while. It's been happening to me as well, but only after the latest updates to PGR3. I don't know what that was supposed to improve.

^ So it's not hardware problem then.
As I said, theses issues arose only after the updates arrived to the game.
And now that I think about it, there are some timeouts that occur in off-line mode as well. I haven't tried running the game with no XBL connection (i. e. unplugging the cable before play), but I think that even then some lag happens. I noticed that the game displays that carbon fiber pattern for a few seconds before doing anything.
Thankfully my game has never stopped responding completely.
I hope they can fix this.

But I had no problem after the updates...didn't play it for a longer time (all updates done), if I played it, I played it with XBOX LIve and now I don't have a Live connection...so this is the thing that changed. But how can a game be so buggy that I can't play it anymore without Live connection??
