With Gotham TV and the fact that this looks like the racing game most will get at launch, I suggest we form a GAF racing league for Project Gotham Racing 3. Yes or No?

GAF racing leagues dont have a good history of lasting beyond the first few weeks of release. good luck with this one though and if it works out Id be willing to join up.
 
How do you guys have gametags already? Is there a way to transfer your Xbox Live gametag to X360? I was just going to cancel my Live one and get a brand new one with X360.

And I'm in for the PGR3 league.

your Xbox Live account is the same one youll use on 360 Live.

So I don't need to do anything? Just use something like "Account Recovery" when I plug in my X360 and put my Live account info in? My live account renews in like 2 days, so I need to be sure of this.

Yep, should work (at least that is what MS is saying).
 
I'll be too busy painting a dragon and putting a comically large spoiler on my Lotus Elise in NFS:MW.

Yup, if Forza is any indication of how long people will play this game after launch then i dont think the league is gonna last long. :p

I'm interested if I decide to grab PGR3. Probably will because the XBL features are too good to pass up. If I don't score a console from Walmart or Best Buy on launch it could be a few weeks until I have my X360. I'm on the second shipment at Gamestop :(

there is absolutely nothing on xbox.com to verify this but its pretty well known that youll use the same gamertag and account info. I went to the forums and found this info....

From Goverland's pinned post in the 360 forum

Activating your existing Xbox Live account for use with the Xbox 360 system is easy. Just make sure you get your gamer card first! To create a gamer card, go to My Gamer Card.

After you've created your gamer card, follow these steps to activate your account as an Xbox Live Gold membership. Keep this basic information handy: your gamertag, your birthdate, and the e-mail address and password associated with your .NET Passport account.

To activate your account for use with Xbox 360:

Make sure your Xbox 360 console is connected to Xbox Live.
From the Xbox Dashboard, go to Xbox Live.
Choose Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live and follow the on-screen instructions to create your new Xbox Live account.
You'll be asked to select preferences for language, country/region, time-zone, and Xbox Live promotions.

Upon completion, you'll be all set to dive headlong into online gaming and other digital entertainment for Xbox 360.

I will never pay money for anything related to the NFS Underground series (again).

A few have raised the issue in the past that these leagues fail. Why? I would like to know so I can try to get the league beyond the first few weeks.

like he said its the flavor of the week syndrome. everyone is hyped before the game comes out but once its out most people play it a while and get bored. I think it has a lot to do with most people not being real fans of the genre and therefore dont really play at a high level which causes them to become less interested in playing in clan matches and ranked games and such.

the Forza thing was stillborn. most of the people that asked for invites to the car club never accepted and just everyone seemed to stopped playing after a few weeks. even the creator of the club stopped playing within a week or two I think.

Do you think the features of Gotham TV will make it far more involving and promote viewership as much as gamesmanship?

This sums it up pretty well. And like wise I'll be getting PGR3 but I'm definately not a high level racer player so yeah :)

sure I think people that have the game are gonna want to see how their friends perform by using GTV but I dont know if that will make them want to join a club or compete in ranked scenarios.

I think I even remember some people here saying that knowing people may be watching their race would make them nervous.
 
definitely, and if its at least as good as pgr2, i'll play for many many months

It would be nice however, if people actually show up this time- unlike Forza. Gek is the only from GAF that I remember racing with in Forza.

I might be in, depends on how much money I have to spend. I have to get Condemned, PD0, and Kameo first. Either way, i wont have my 360 untill the second or third shipment.
