PGR3 online is a bitch!!

As I recall, there wasn't a whole lot of crashing and spinning of each other. I think the key is having more than just 1 lap to race and that way people can be a little more patient. It is not as much winning for me as it is racing someone competitively.

There really should have been a penalty system of some kind for those kind of collisions...Forza had the right idea when they penalized players for driving offroad by subtrac ting from your overal time...in the end, if you spent too much time off the track, it was possilbe to lose your place based on time.

I really think a collision penalty system (that distinguished between rubbin' and smashing the car into the wall) would do a lot to fix any and all online problems by doing the same as Forza and subtracting from the overall time. Thus, maybe you got first place, but actually you got third bc you were such an ass...

And if all else fails, add me to ur buddies list for some PG3 - Shawn128 - lol I'm not the best racer around, but I try to play fair :)

Someone spins you out, give them bad feedback. It's unlikely you'll be matched up with them again, at the very least. PGR supposedly uses TrueSkill(tm) to match you with people -- so pretty soon you should find yourself matched with some good people... you just have to wade through it. :'(

It's not like the people above you in the rankings didn't have to deal with that b.s. too. The alternative is just don't play online career.

TrueSkill is BS, im a HotShot but get matched with every skill level in every race

I haven't played PGR3, but I played the first two, and I can't imagine why you'd have such a problem with someone slamming you into a wall.

If there was no risk of death or serious injury this would happen in real life races on literally every turn. Street or circuit.

If you just want to race on your fixed path, why not do it in Time Attack mode? Sounds boring to me. Whoever has the fastest car and stays on their invisible line the longest wins.

If you can bump other cars, block them from passing you, etc. why not do it? The few times I've played multiplayer racing games those are the most exciting parts. Screwing over the friend who thinks he's going to zoom past you, or, conversely, avoiding his best effort to screw YOU over.

Leaving bad feedback for that sounds like crying.

im tired of getting t-boned or shoved into the wall because some ass doesnt know how to drive or just likes being an ass. damn bizzare turn off the collisions and make the online a test of true skill. also dont drop me 300 places because i finish third in one match after winning 14 in a row, its not my fault rookies spin me out

Yeah got to agree 100%. It happened alot on pgr2. The only light at the end of the tunnel is the noobs and A holes will soon get bored and move onto something else leaving the decent racers to actually race.

Has anyone actually played single-player? Spinning you out seems to be a major strategy of the AI as well... I lost tons of races on the last lap because I got spun out by the AI. But whatever, that's the game. I only rented it, so I don't really have any complaints.

preventing someone from passing you is not the same as knocking someone completely out of the race. if you stop for a second or more you can forget about even coming close to winning. all i was saynig is bizarre should look into a way to effectivly rid this type of play. its a legit complaint

ive completed the single player part twice now and am almost done with it on platinum and have never experienced the AI controlled cars spinning me out

there really is no fastest car in the game...alot of people pick the f50 in the c class, but what all the complainers dont realize is that the f40 is just as good, the slr maclaren is faster in teh straits, the murcielago is fater in the turns, the f430 is just as competative, and witha good driver the ford gt is also as competative.

well, i havent played the game (damnit), just hearing from my friend who has been whinning about the f50gt lately. i dont see whats different between pgr2 and its speed 12 and the f50gt. and of course, both games can have issues with bastards not driving properly. just comes with the territory.

like others said, play with people you know, or wait patiently for the assholes to drop off. the pgr2 community was really really awesome after the first month or so.

Thats pretty surprising. I know they do it to me quite frequently now. I'm about 2/3 of the way through on platinum, btw.

Truffle, PM me your Gamertag and we'll get some races online on PGR3 soon. I'm like you...I hate racing these idiots who don't know how to race and think it's clever or funny to spin people out, not break for corners etc. They're assholes and they just ruin the game for everyone. I want to race someone based on who accelerates quicker, who has the best racing line, who turns better etc...not who can ram someone into the wall

I only play it online with my mates because we're the same level and we know how to race - no intentional smashes or bumps, proper etiquette and we have an awesome time.

I'd say the only thing that ruins it is that you must play online career mode against these idiots...wtf were Bizarre thinking?! Why can't you race it with your mates when it's just a series of courses (and not a career at all)
