PGR3 update, 3d screen included!

Oh my god. If it really looks like that, there is NO excuse for wallguys. I guess I'll see in a week and a half first hand!

I've already asked a few times that Bizarre send me non compressed version of their image so I can host them myself, but it's not that easy.

And GAF loves you for your efforts. :D

Agreed. I wonder what goes through the devs minds of a certain EA racing game when they see screenshots like this? Bizarre is definitely separating themselves from other devs if the endgame actually looks like this.

I've seen the supposed 720p version on another board. Its from the Bizarre website, albeit a little bit compressed. Looks amazing though. If i post the link it would prob kill the bandwidth.

I imagine they would think something along the lines of "we'd better spread the rumor PGR3 won't make it for launch, so when people see these screenshots they will think this is a second generation title and won't compare it to nfs:mw".
I might be wrong though :P

Looks like they are finishing the cars last. I remember some earlier pics of that car with some noticeable poly edges.

Hmm, MS's approval? This could mean we may see some new things from other devs in the coming days. Anyway, it sounds like they are working like crazy to get the game out for launch.

I'm guessing the approval process didn't start until after PDZ's unveiling happened. :lol

I'd buy PG3 just for Geometry Wars.

With bonus car game!

:lol

What is that, a hyper asteroid type game?

If the first Geometry Wars is any indication, its more along the lines of Robotron. You are the Tempest looking ship in the middle. The left stick moves you around and the right stick shoots in whatever direction you point. The other squares and circles and such attack you in various ways, apparently hating you for your superior concave polygon shape. Also sparks.

Oh! You also have a smart bomb which clears the screen of bad things, which is probably what that big circle in the first screen is.

well the first game was incredible (mini game in PGR2) very addictive.

this one looks absolutely insane O_o

you used 1 stick to fly the ship around and iirc the 2nd stick to shoot

you would start off with simple dudes that flew around and did nothing then there was the guys who would chase you and then the guys that if you shot would break off into a lot of little dudes who will chase you.

after that the game starts to get pretty crazy with blackholes and stuff. everything flying everywhere you trying to avoid hundreds of characters.

I so wish they released this as a chihiro arcade game :<

Wow! Geometry Wars looks absolutely brilliant. The 3d screen looks gorgeous, too. If this makes launch I'll have to get a 360.

you could pm blim blim the link, so only one download, then he could mirror it

This game wont make launch...and personally i dont want it too. I want Bizarre to take their time perfecting this.

It's still a busy time here at Bizarre Creations, but I suppose you’re used to me saying that by now. Some of the PGR3 guys and gals have racked up a ridiculous amount of overtime this week in their mission to get the game out the door. The entire team is really working hard to finish the game to the absolute highest standard we can. Weekends and evenings are virtually the routine now… the things we do for games eh?

you think they mean out the door for spring? the easter bunny perhaps?
