Actually this would be an amazing thing to play between long que gamesSo, as someone pointed out in another thread, Phantom Dust is apparently identified as a UWP App and not a Game for the One, so you can actually run Phantom Dust and other One games at the same time.
Just launch a game, then launch Phantom Dust. You can switch between Phantom Dust and the other game instantly.

Should I play this game through for SP? D/led it and did not find out that the game is locked to 30 fps. I can play 30fps games fine on consoles on a TV, but on PC, I guess with a very low input lag monitor, it just feels like I'm playing a 10 fps game.
For a remaster, it really seems half assed.
Wonder if that's new thread worthy, could be something they do for more games than just PD

So playing online seems impossible. Everyone lags all over the place and none of my skills seem to land hits even though I psyche blade them in their face.
In single player I beat the floating clam boss and can build a deck but I can't find the next quest to continue the single player campaign. Talked to every NPC (Now I remember why I hated this game) and still can't find the next quest.
God I remember that about the campaign, it was awful running around talking to everyone.
There's an FAQ on GameFAQs that'll literally blow through the game by telling you who to talk to...
I imagine this is only possible because PD was made for the 64MB of RAM of the original Xbox, I think 'apps' on the One have a multi-hundred MB limit before the console will kick them out of active memory for a game, and the new port likely doesn't add a lot of memory overhead since it's fairly direct port. The only way to switch this fast is to keep both games current state entirely in RAM.
Yep, most likely. The docs discussing the system resources available to UWP apps are public:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/xbox-apps/system-resource-allocation
- The maximum memory available to an app running in the foreground is 1 GB.
- The maximum memory available to an app running in the background is 128 MB.
- Share of 2-4 CPU cores depending on the number of apps and games running on the system.
- Share of 45% of the GPU depending on the number of apps and games running on the system.
- UWP on Xbox One supports DirectX 11 Feature Level 10. DirectX 12 is not supported at this time.
- All apps must target the x64 architecture in order to be developed or submitted to the store for Xbox.

Interesting. I always figured you could only run one app and one game at a time but the CPU and GPU share estimates say otherwise. It's also odd that UWP on XBO only supports DX11 and not DX12 when DX12 and UWP are so synonymous with each other.
arrgh. This game is no joke, even to figure controllers is non trivial. Is there a good guide out there? Couldnt find many Let's Play on Youtube...
another completely useless video, running Phantom Dust and Phantom Dust at the same time.
Xbox version is being captured and streamed simultaneously running Phantom Dust Windows on the same PC.
I start off with a comparison area and then crossplay against myself :V

Where the hell are games installed that get downloaded from the Windows store? I downloaded PD, and there's no file location or anything.
First time I've ever played it and I'm hooked. I'm only on chapter 2 and it seems like they're about to introduce deck building or something.
How's multiplayer? I might give it a try. Anybody on here wanna run through some games?
I'm actually really curious to see a new one. Could be huge. Understandably, this game is kinda clunky, but it plays better than expected for the type of game it is and it looks surprisingly good. Full fledged destruction and a visual rehaul alone will be nuts.
Does mobility improve? My character in SP can only jump but I see the AI rolling and doing all types of dodges. Jumping alone is weak as a dodging mechanism.
Also should I explore the compound after every battle and talk to people? I see I've been getting random missions through conversation and idk if those are the same ones that come through the battle terminal, so I can just always go there.
Ugh. I'm reading the OP and I instantly felt the pain that comes with knowing you're going to spend too much time on this.
I just floated. This game is fucking sick.

Dx12 and extra resources are coming, but MS has not a firm date on those yet.Interesting. YES, let them know!
1. Yep, you are right there - you'll be using your own decks for the rest of the SP game
2. Multiplayer is really where this game shines. The SP campaign is just getting you ready for it.
3. You can use different characters in MP and they do have different moves, but there are tradeoffs for it - just like everything in this game. There are also mobility skills.
4. If you want a list of who to talk to for each mission here's one: Mission List & Talk To Guide
Adam confirmed it's a UWP app:

"It's a UWP app, so yep, it can run alongside other games."
That Carcino boss is making me so mad. He starts very easy, but when I'm a attack away of defeating him he starts spamming that attack that reflects everywhere without any window for me to attack.
I try jumping too, but most of the times it feels the attacks wait for me to touch the floor to hit me.It was a really hard battle for me too. I ended creating an arsenal with just that fire attack 2/2 (forgot the name) to kill the small bots fast, a couple of high STR attacks and some defensive skills, I also noticed that if you start pressing the jump button during that attack and you are hitted in mid-air while you fall down you will be invulnerable so it helps to mitigate some damage
In all my time with the game, it was just me and a couple friends. Tons of fun to see some real build variety now that I can play online. Hopefully it doesn't become impossible to find a match soon, cause I had trouble there for a little while.
Very excited to get a nice collection of cards so I can really put some crazy stuff together.
Just defeated the Abundance of Memory and starting chapter 3. The game is simple, but requires some tactics. Is the control clunky by design or of the era? because it does add to the planning and engagement.

I wonder if people have spent money on mp or not

Tried to give this game a go for a half hour but there was some weird audio distortion/crackling drowning out the music when in-game. Definitely isn't my TV since the sound on other games work fine.
Oh well. At least it was free.
Also, want to add a bit of a disclaimer to newcomers:
If your going right into the SP, things don't pick until Chapter 3, prior is pretty much a tutorial for a lot of the above information.
All ill say is that you'll know when its time, cause you will have earned it.
