Oh please, not the anti-france / communism mindset, again.

France is our ally. Always has been our ally. They are the ONLY country in the world we have NEVER feuded with, that has been around since the USA was made it's own country. Just because they didn't support us in the war on Iraq doesn't mean they hate us, or that they're our enemy.

and Communism is simply another way of running a country. It works VERY well in agricultural countries, such as vietnam, but it's a disaster for industrialized countries (like Soviet Russia).

First of all, from 1798 to 1801, the United States participated in a “quasi-war” with France that consisted of several naval engagements between the two nations.

Secondly, I can’t really think of any conflict ever occurring between the United States and, say, Australia.
