Hahaha...I bought a bunch of these at some random shop in Harajuku a few years back and gave them out as souvenirs for my friends when I got back to the states. We still laugh about those stupid things to this day, haha. They are funnier in real life because the dog humps a LOT faster than the gif shows.

It's kinda odd that people always say: "THERE WAS ROOM LOL" but don't stop and wonder that the plank probably wouldn't hold the weight of 2 grown people with soaked clothes(that add quite much to the weight).

Whoa. I'm a software developer and it took me about 10 minutes, if I'm right.
I believe the answer is 2. My answer:
the number of 0s in the numbers in the 4-digit sequence.
1=0 loops
2=0 loops
4=1 loop
8=2 loops
See it?
1=0 loops
2=0 loops
4=1 loop
8=2 loops

The answer is right, but I'm not sure I get the 'number of Os' you are talking about - its actually the number of closed circle shapes in each sequence. '0', '6', '9' have one, '8' has two, the rest have none. So yeah, 2581 has two.
EDIT: Yeah I think that's what you're saying, too.

As a software developer, looking at problem statement is an important job to planning any program. The given inputs and provided outputs were very helpful too.
The part about the kids being able to solve it meant that conventional logic (mathematical logic, for instance) didn't necessarily apply beyond simply arithmetic for adding the number of loops.

My dog had this hedgehog that she would constantly tease me with. Bitter battles were fought over that damn thing.
He tried ONCE. I dunno about you, but if I were in a life or death situation, stuck in freezing cold water that feels like little knives stabbing you all over (Jack's words), after having met the love of your life a day or two prior, I would try more than once to make it work. But maybe that's just me.
