I lived in Over the Rhine in Cincinnati back in the early 90's and the crackheads would break off car antennas and use them to smoke crack. I lost two antennas before someone explained what was going on. I drove around with a bunch of cassettes from them on and didn't listen to the radio. I don't know how much crack you can get for $5, but it has to be worth more to a crackhead than a couple of drinking glasses. Like you though, I'm no expert on smoking crack.

People make meth pipes out of light globes and a straw / pipe of some type, Kmart is basically selling meth pipes here.

Although, different glass so it would likely shatter when heated.

I think I remember this. Wasn't this from the Special Olympics?
