You mean to work...like I'm doing tomorrow?Do you remember taking the extra leftover slices to school the next morning wrapped in tinfoil?
Same here. Rarely got their pizza but the arcade in the 80's was pretty good.We used to go to showbiz. It was like a classier chuck e cheese with amazing animatronics live band performances.
Ultimate Friday night in the mid-to-late 90s for me:
-Best friend coming home with me from school for a sleepover
-Mom takes us to Blockbuster on the way home
-We get to pick out two games and a movie (and usually my mom rents a movie for her and my dad to watch)
-Dad swings by Pizza Hut on his way home from work to pick up pizzas and a 2-liter of soda
-My friend and I play the hell out of whatever games we rented, gorge on pizza, play outside for a bit with the neighbor kids, come back inside and play more games, watch the movie we rented, watch a few episodes on TGIF, play more games, then finally pass out way too late
-Wake up to the sound of my buddy already up playing one of the games we rented and the smell of breakfast cooking in the kitchen
Not sure when you grew up, but in the late 80s/early-90s Little Caesars wasn't that bad, at least not our local one.Growing up it was this ABSOLUTE TRASH every friday. It was cheap and yu could get yards and yards of it for every party.

Pizza Hutt was "getting fancy".
There were very few indie pizza places where I grew up so pizza as an actual food to enjoy had to wait till I left for college.

This was before it came in a cardboard box like in the picture. You'd get two pizzas next to each other on a cardboard sheet that was wrapped in a paper bag.
I haven't had Little Caesers in probably 25 years, but I have fond memories of the stuff I used to get back in the day.
During my college days in the early 90s, Little Caesars had $1.50 "crazy bread" that was basically just a large pizza crust, no marinara sauce, baked, then cut into strips and topped with like Parmesan cheese, but then served with marinara sauce on the side in a little bucket.Early to mid 90s Caesars was the tits
They used to give you packets of this seasoning too which really amplified the taste.
Yeah I grew up in the 80/90s in the north of England, we did have take out pizza bit it was complete and utter trash. It was either the chip shop or Chinese for take-out.As a kid we didnt have pizza in ireland, so when the folks decided to get a takeaway in we'd get a Fish supper and be just as excited..

I remember this as well but damed if I can find a picture of it. I recall them always doing square, almost crustless, pizzas, at least at the one near me.Not sure when you grew up, but in the late 80s/early-90s Little Caesars wasn't that bad, at least not our local one.

I went to a boarding school for the last couple years of high school and the pizza deals we got were INSANE. $5 got you half of a legit large pizza that would feed you for the entire weekend. Problem was keeping the jackals from getting it, so everyone developed quirky topping choices that only they liked. Anchovy onion on one side, pineapple jalapeno canadian bacon on the other, so those 2 kids didn't get their slices pilferedFor me, it's college pizza memeories. The local college pizza shop. $8for a large cheese pizza. All day all night long. You can be half the college order every Friday night and they somehow make it all
Then a CiCi's Pizza opened up near our mall. We would go there once a month and I would stuff my face with all the different varieties. I was an odd kid and liked bbq and spinach pizza the most and their cheesy bread, then would finish with their apple pie pizza. Good times!
Going to cici's pizza buffet as a kid was awesome. The pizza itself wasn't anything special, but you could have as much as you want. The cheese bread in particular was probably the best thing there. Not to mention the little arcade they had in the back with stuff like area 51 and nfl blitz
One thing's certain: it has to be deep dish.
No because I always wanted Prosciutto and I was playing on my PC.
Everyone on tv in the 80s was either despising anchovies or getting sucked into a pit of quicksand.Imagine it's the 1980s. It's Tuesday night, you're a fictional tv or film character, your parents say the magic words: "Let's order pizza tonight." They ask what you want, and without hesitation, everyone shouts, "No anchovies!"
As crazy at it seems, I have never seen a long oval shaped pizza like that. As a small flatbread pizza ya, but not a big pizza. Circle, square and rectangle yes.Every Friday we would order a pizza from the local pizza joint and rent a VHS movie right next door, great memories! The local joint is still in business and unbelievably busy every Friday and Saturday, the tradition continues with my family getting a pizza most weekends.

My friend's mom left us 20 bucks which netted us a pepperoni and dessert pizza from round table delivered with tip, imagine that. Bubble Bobble and Kirby's Adventure was played that night. I tried to recreate the experience later in life with my stoner friend and they stopped making the dessert pizza, fucking cowards.
Cold pizza out of the fridge the next day is even better..!Do you remember taking the extra leftover slices to school the next morning wrapped in tinfoil?
